We should start a whole new thread called "Help Bossk find the right amp"

Seriously, I bet I could play some funeral doom on a Line 6 Spider. Heck, give me a Fender Frontman and with the right pedals I'll make it work.

...yeah, I'm that guy that "likes doom" but doesn't smoke weed and is "meh" about your favorite bands. There's always one....

I'm the same, always have been. I listen to most of the bands that are mentioned here, but I only really LOVE a few of them. Here's a few I would listen to any day of the week and would consider a favourite band:

Kowloon Walled City
Whores.
Earth (mostly just Bees and Hex)
YOB
white orange
Unsane (not heard the early stuff yet)
Tombs
Neurosis
These Mountains Are Ghosts
Russian Circles (new album is amazing)
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Mastodon
Rosetta
Giant Squid
ISIS
Pallbearer
Minks
Made Out Of Babies
Battle of Mice
Gojira
Converge
The Dillinger Escape Plan
Devil Sold His Soul
Battle of Mice
Cult of Luna

With a few honourable mentions in that I couldn't listen to any time but love nonetheless:

High on Fire
Indian
Rwake

That's basically it. I don't listen to much heavy music apart from that. I listen to Hip-Hop equally to Heavy Metal. And I probably listen to Alternative Rock more. One of my favourite all time bands is Interpol. Most here would consider that hipster bullshit, but it's cool cause it kinda is. Not really.

Bossk wrote:Whats the Best amp i can get around 1200 bucks?

Line6 Spider III. The third one is the best. The tube version is awesome too.

Is Minks supposed to be Minsk?

Also early unsane is the best unsane:

Oh yeah, wupps!

I downloaded all the Unsane records after I bought their most recent one, Wreck—it was one of my favourite albums of 2012—but the only early record I listened to was their self titled. I can't even remember what I thought of it.

Man having been in such a shitty mood at work the last couple weeks revisiting Unsane has been just what the doctor ordered. The doctor ordered a lot of scowling.

It's a simple question, a baby could answer it. I would! Heck, I'd have seconds.

What in the shit is going on tonight? 4 years of doom rooming, and I've never seen shit like this.

To make up the failure, I fell asleep on the bus to my girlfriends house to dopesmoker, holy mountain, and budgie albums

Only if I could call the band Requiem for an Aurochs.
