Yeh dude that's easily the most attractive homemade board I've ever seen. Great job there.

Also really appreciate others who have simple clean boards

Thanks! I like the height because it gives plenty of space for the power supply under it... And it's only a couple inches higher than a Pedaltrain.

And with the remote switcher, I don't have to hit the pedals much anyway. Works for me at least :)

Ooooh.... Now I got it! No idea this thing is called Randy's Revenge. Digging deeper into ILFtalk.... *shovel* :p

But again... Great board.

Haha, yeah, it took me a pretty while to get used to the lingo too. The abbreviations can really make it hard.

Anyway, here's the signal chain and the photo repost for this page because I'm attention whoring. :)

^Oh, man - just noticed the Maxon Ether. That's the Superfuzz with the EQ, right? How's that working for you?

Something about how you can EQ it really well to cut through a band mix, which was something he needed.

shrill shrieks of arcadian lambs being slaughtered
roar of a chainsaw wielded backwards through time
puff of blood-red dew as the nostrils blow
severed by a future self
all on a string suspended
waiting in the ether.

Having played around with the Stone Deaf PDF-1 for a week I now know just how useful a good EQ can be. Don't think I've turned it off once and just made space for it on the board. Thing works amazingly well after fuzz - I'll never be lost in a mix again :thumb:

Have you tried it pre-fuzz as well, Horsey?

^ I did try it before fuzz and it worked fine to boost and shape the signal but I think you get better control after the fuzz and for some reason it just made more sense to me that way. Chain is wah or auto-wah ->fuzzy fuzz fuzz fuzz ->PDF-1 ->phaser -> tremolo -> delay.
