3th floor in a 2 1/2 appartment... it was 30ish C in the appartment.
Now it's better. Wiil try Christian's setting this weekend!!!

Space is the place.

Found that it works best with P-90s into a slightly overdriven amp... didn't sound as Bolan-esque with a Tele into a clean Fender.

Great on my little Vox with my Gibson LP Faded Special, though!

Just got my elements! the black finish (my personal favorite). I will be sure to post my favorite settings after experimenting with it for a bit. I'm bringing it to band practice tonight. So far, so good! I izzzzz excited! ;)

I got to try it on my toooooob amp instead of my POS (piece of shiiiit) practice amp and I was very impressed. I cranked up the gain and stacked it with the megalith. It adds a nice crunchy, dirty, angry edge to the megalith. My drummer said my tone was good and huge and he is extremely picky with his toaaanz. I am going to experiment more with lower gain sounds but I like bringing on the distortion! I needed a pedal that can be very precise and articulate for the metal because my fuzzies weren't satisfying my need for metaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal! the metal gods are going to be smiling soon! Nice work Ryan ;) .

Hey Ryan, here's a question for you. How come when a Boss FS-5U plugs into the expression input of my Elements it turns into a crazy, glitchy, 8-bit fuzz?

For example, this...

Crazy times.

Yo NWS! That's a pretty crazy sounding movie, bub!

I'm assuming the FS-5U is a switch to ground and what you're doing there is grounding one lug of the mix pot, presumably the wet signal lug.

An expression control, when it's a mix like on the Elements, needs 3 connections to replace the 3 connections of the actual mix potentiometer: wet, dry, mix. I think what you're doing is grounding one of them... either grounding one or shorting them together in the wrong way. That switch is definitely not capable of taking over for a 50k potentiometer.

It's hard to say if you'll hurt your Elements doing that... beats me! *smile* I doubt it... but it'll be interesting to find out either way!

I don't think that would work, buddy! The GK CV output is a voltage between ground and 5 volts, while the Elements mix control just wants a passive resistance from a potentiometer. I think if you plugged the GK into the Elements you'd just get silence or weirdness like NWS.

There is a workaround, however - Jean Baudin's Expressionator (soon to be released as the Mission Expressionator) doesn't specifically say it will take CV in, but it happily does take the Goatkeeper's output and use it to control its digital potentiometers. You can then use it to control any pedal that wants a passive expression pedal like the Elements.

Not so obvious video of this that I created here:

Right! Behndy uses one on the Frazz in a video! Totally forgot about that.. it's a great workaround for sure... I gotta get one of those...

Yeah Behndy is just sweeping it manually utilizing some of the expressionator's interesting tapers on the Frazz. It's a pretty awesome box for all kinds of fun with both manual and LFO input.

Just recorded a whole bunch of stuff in the rehearsal room. I think this is my favourite setting - I may revise that after going through the recorded material. Arc Flash on the intro. Will post more stuff once I've edited everything.

so hawt.

urf. REALLY want to do a demo for this beast. been so swamped lately though. but look! a track! with all Elements for the distortion!

i think..... yep. i don't turn off the Elements the whole track. the stuttery/trem'ish sound is me flicking a killswitch on my bass to the rhythms. WOOT.
