Why is everyone and their cat selling their Moog Matriarch? It's like I've seen a new one for sale everyday or the past 2-3 weeks.

Not sure if I want to start a thread on this…

Looking for a tremolo pedol

No tap tempo.
Needs to have a wave shape control/switch (sign, square, tri is fine)
No tap tempo.
No digitals
Cv / expression for speed.

Anything? Other than the moog? I have two of those.. and while I love the things the one thing they don’t do well is a hard square chop.. which I need..

Ja, sounds like a job for the Treminator:

(No experience with it, has tap tempo.) :idk:

The Moog MF-Trem is analog, has expression control and a Shape knob.

It's no longer made. But I have one and it is good.

I already own two of those… it’s my favorite trem… but I’ve never got them to do a true hard chop, they get close but a boss does the hard square onoffonoff thing

If you are looking for an on/off/on dynamic, the Treminator does this well. The Fade feature combined with the waveshaper will let you do a lot of non-standard stuff, too----fading swells, broken sounds.

I have one, and it's one of the best trems ever made.

Also, these are on sale for under $150.

the Zvex Sonar does the chop, the hard chop, and nothing but the chop. it has tap tempo and no CV, though. but it's really good. you can adjust the waveform duty cycle in fine detail. run some vague clumps of bass content at it, and instant Thomas Köner.

Yeah I didn't suggest it due to no CV, but this is what I have and it chops very hard, the adjustable waveform in the form of attack/decay works well for how I like to think about things. Having settings accessible via a button combo is a mild annoyance but to have all this control in separate knobs the pedal would get huge so I get it.

No CV and not the easiest to track down, but maybe the Custom Audio Japan Twin Tremolo would get you somewhere useful. Gets pretty choppy and two switchable modulators with independent rate, depth, and waveform switches.

Can speakers be recycled? I burned up the voice coils on a couple of speakers. I want to get rid of the cabinet - probably give it away. But should I put the speakers out for recycling pickup? Maybe I should tear out the paper cones first?
