For the gate, make sure you get something fun to plug into the key input. Drum machine, an LFO, some sort of CV sequencer. Fun tremolo abuse.
(Any reason the earlier 612 gate wouldn’t work? To my understanding there isn’t much difference, but I may not have all the info.)

At first I was like why the compressor last but then I saw that you want to boost the noise floor and now I am excited for the possibilities of this chain. The GL-100 has its own post-EQ options doesn't it? Anyway sounds dope as shit.

Oh totally - to be honest I really have no clue what I am after but I know I want to fuck around with a floyd rose guitar again - I just have a huge luxury this year of splurging on musical related equipment. ( even though my salary will be significantly less next year)Gone Fission wrote:Look before you leap. That is all
I also have a lot interest in Charvel's as they are pretty good guitars and anyone who owns one - always reccomends it.

Finally got my old 89 Charvel (bass) setup, and yes, would recommend.

I had an 80's super strat Charvel for years that I got when I was first learning guitar. It was really nice quality guitar. They were super cheap and uncool at the time too.

You might want to consider an older Charvel, as the newer ones (along with Jacksons, and other pointy guitars) tend to use the softer metal Floyds, which can become a problem if you lean into it more often than not. You could always upgrade to a German Floyd, if that's the caseMaxMaps wrote:I also have a lot interest in Charvel's as they are pretty good guitars and anyone who owns one - always reccomends it.

Also, I'll +1 the set neck thing, which can become intolerable on either a Jackson or Charvel than an open glued joint a la a Gibson or your Dunable, FWIW :surprise:

CME WIDI Thru6 BT came in ahead of schedule!
https://www.cme-pro.com/widi-thru6-blue ... -splitter/
Need to get my DIN to whatever-the-fuck-fake-spec connector cables going. This will be splitting my MIDI controller to my pedalboard and also transmitting the controller messages to my rack.

Egads, the day I go pedge is the same day I see a broken Sound Master Rhythm 1 R-2 for $40 shipped on reverb. My addiction to broken shit will just have to maintain itself on what I've got on hand.

This thing just arrived, and I’m on a lofi honeymoon…
And because I am continually searching for ways to sound extra shitty, I ordered this today from Doug at Midfi:
Next up, Air Trash round two! (Anyone have one they’re selling?)

Very nice, I'm still waiting on my Gen Loss II - not had a message to say it's on the way but I have confirmed I'm on the list.

I ordered very early on, I think in the first 50. But because I'm in Canada, the first one took a couple of weeks to arrive. Then, it had a blemish in the finish, and because I'd sold a kidney to buy it, I wanted it to be perfect, so I sent it back and they shipped out a new one and it got to me in two days. Really awesome customer service from CBA.Paul_C wrote:^^^

Re: Gasalcoholics anonymous? whoever said this was a help gr
So, I've owned the Cooper V1, CBA MKI and now this one, but I have pretty terrible ear-memory, so without having them all in front of me to compare, my "analysis" of them is probably best taken with a handful of salt. I always loved the Cooper V1, minus the weird filtering noise. CBA MKI was cool, but lacked some of the lofi-ness of the OG. It was like a spiffy high-end pedal in a lofi costume. Nice enough, but I didn't find myself at that time utilizing a lot of the extras, so I ended up trading it for an OG version again (plus two other pedals). Then I sold that one to buy the 3Degrees Bygones because I thought it would be rad, but ended up hating it. I am still in the honeymoon phase with MKII, but I'm really digging it. Perhaps because I haven't had a Gen Loss in my life for quite a while now after having always had some version of it around for years. Absence makes the something something...you know how it goes.qersty wrote:So like how does the gen loss mk ii (again?) Stack up?

So far, I am very much enjoying the following:
- Overall, it just sounds good. I don't know, some people will hate it I'm sure, but I think it sounds excellent. It's probably as polished as the MKI, but I don't care/notice it.
- Stereo sounds awesome.
- Saturate is an awesome control. It really gets blown out.
- Failure is also awesome. I like it pretty subtle, and it's great that it's customizable. You can remove snags and drops and stuff with the dipswitches, and the level of the pops and crinkles (which even at full volume are not overdone).
- The Noise is also customizable. You can adjust the level of hiss, mechanical noise, etc.
- I wasn't crazy about the idea of not having a dedicated mix and noise control, but the three way toggles do the job for me thus far
- Stop and Fail Aux functions are super cool. Filter I'm not using much, but whatever. You can set the time it takes for the Aux function to fully take effect, so if you set it to the longest time, it takes about 14-15 seconds to grind to a halt when you engage the stop function. Awesome.
- Classic mode is what you would expect. The freeze aux function in this mode is great. It put a smile on my face.
IDK, I think it's probably pretty personal, but I am loving the pedal so far.
And yes, I can't wait to get the House Amp. I'm excited to run it into his Scrape Flutter Pedal, into the Gen Loss and just sound like a terrible live recording onto a shitty 4 track.
