Vidret is my go-to anti-gas guy.

Still the tracker looks like FUN which is what is always pulling me in you know. I'd like to fudge with one sometime

i'm not as good at Downer Debbie'ing loots as sooooome cuties, but... i dunno. it's never a fault of the device, but portable All In Ones always feels like a huge letdown after an initial WOOOOO period.

it's amazebutts how much small boxes can do now but... it's always significantly less and/or more complicated than doing it in Live. twenty years ago, if i could have afforded modern gear? yes PLEASE. but now it's just frustrating learning how to hold two or three buttons and dive into a menu or five to get a very limited range of probability on one or two specific options... when i could add to ANYthing in live in seconds.

where i'm at with the MPC One. need to stop looking at it as a do everything workstation, focus on it as an interactive sampler.

and that's where the Tracker fell for me. does some crazy good stuff, but the things it couldna do ended up with it never turned on.

My setup. I feel like I’ve outpaced my music skills. Like, these sound nicer than my ability to write good music.

woot woot tiny more modular and useful (for me) version of the Super Six is innnnnnnn.

missed the lush cutie so. damn. much.

having a harsh angry jiggly internally modular routing modulation Hydrasynth feels like best of complimentary gear.

Wow, I shouldn't have looked at any demos of the Super 6. It sounds so good!

That being said, I also looked at the price and it is well outside anything I could consider buying

I am impressed by your ability to find the goodest shit without fail. Every time I have a look at something you already have or have already had it

I'm not getting a super six, but if I did it would be your fault.
i'm a consumer whore! and HOW! i just... like... stuff?

MrNeverForgeterTheFiffOfNovelemaber - it's. fucking. LUSH. but yeah. a very unnecessary luxury type expenditure.

especiallllly spending tons of time in the M8 lately, i know that i would be as or more happy ditching all hardware gears with a really good laptop running Live, a controller or two, maybe 2 or 3 hardware bxoes TOPS.

true dat. all about those TINY SCREENS and FLASHY BUTTONS and ODD INTRINSICALLY SPECIFIC UI DESIGN OPTIONS.

case in point - while i have an Erica Synths Perkons on order, i keep almost clicking on buy it/order a build for a Spazedrum. i don't need one, but. want? talk me out of it?

What a great way to start a week! I picked up two vintage KORG classics: an MS-20 (finally a standard-sized model, hooray!) and the rare MS-50.
I had never thought that an MS-50 might find its way to my place someday. :joy: :omg: :!!!:

Both KORG MS synthesizers are now cleaned and properly calibrated. The MS-50 needed new electrolytic capacitors. The waveforms were misbehaving and once the board was recapped they sounded great again. I ordered 7 metres of wire and 32 plugs to make those 16 patch cables. These are a few more than what came with the MS synths back in the day, but I need more cables already!

Both synthesizers sound awesome! The MS-20 has the later filter circuit which is normally not regarded as the better (or cooler) sounding one, but my exemplar sounds fantastic and much more powerful than my MS-20 mini. It has a lot more punch and "hi-fi" sound. The MS-50 sounds fantastic as well and it offers a few cool options that the MS-20 doesn't have. All in all I'm very happy with these units!
