Wonderful looking knobs and a big case like in the early Seppuku days!
Loome is a gated delay and fluid pitch bender.
Modulation range is controled with an attenuverter, it bends down and up to the left, up and down to the right and is neutral in the centre.
The slow attack on the delay provides a throbing reverb rather than a spurious echo. The falling envelope clears the infinite feedback loop as the signal decays.
The toggle engages a sweetly voiced demodulating distortion .
I’ve made several prototypes, the final design will be available late august.
The digital "Dagger" doesn't see the light of day in favour of the analogue "Shring":
This effect is probably not going to be produced. I’ve noticed there are a lot of digital effects on the market and went about acheiving this effect in the analogue domain instead. The shring, I think, has a similar and less contrived sound than this circuit, so I’m going to leave this behind.
Rhys told me that another circuit is going to be produced soon.
Quite soon, I'm sure. He will add the estimated date on his website. The "Shring" was teased in late May and it went into sale about eight weeks later.
Rhys is doing a few things in parallel and he is working in a quite quick way, but he has to wait for his suppliers to deliver stuff, as so many people in all parts of the world right now. He suspected his ordered "Loome" circuit boards to show up two weeks ago, but they still weren't there when he wrote me last Friday. From what I read in all the nice e-mails he is working really hard on his pedal projects and he is constantly tweaking the circuits to get the best sounding and most reliable results.
Just clicking around the site, I notice there is an option for free shipping if you put a Kassette in your cart...you can choose between that or $30 shipping charge. Feels like this shouldn't be...shipping is an optional charge? Has anyone ordered a Kassette?
