Yes, we went there before going to Sam's museum right next door. Awesome place as well. They have an original Sinclair C5 plus all the British computers that I haven't seen before in person. And on top almost every other home computer model. Both museums don't have too much space, but you can spend hours in them and time will fly.Dandolin wrote:Hey Pepe - did you check out The Micro Museum in Ramsgate too? Seem like it might be fun too...tho not nearly as fun as Sam's Museum of Everything Else.

A short clip with my KORG X-911 Synthesizer, showing a function (an obvious one) that I recently discovered:

Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
Does anybody make a tabletop switcher that would be good for cut-up style noise? Maybe like four inputs, one output with arcade buttons, and only one input is active at a time. Doesn’t need to generate its own signal. Volume knobs for each channel maybe? Or something else?
Edit - I see that digdugDIY has the Tanooki Suit switcher. But it’s not available. But it’s something to look out for

i like the looks of the Tanooki Suit, but I also like your idea of only one input active at a time - it would be cool to have something with a mode switch

Fyi
For whatever reason if you plan on using a tube overdrive/pre into a 60s sunn, most kill, except the Mesa vtwin, there is an impedance issue that makes the drive muddy and lose volume.. yet running a H&k, tubeworks and Budda work fine

Had an experience with Wacom tablets, “how can you use that tiny thing, a big expensive tablet would be much better” - then you realize you have to reach your arm all the time, and smaller movements are easier to manage. Luckily that was not a purchase, just a test drive.friendship wrote:ME, A DUMBASS: I need a nice big 61-key MIDI controller with lots of slides and buttons so I can have total control over my DAW!

I wonder if any differences in sound were less noticeable with close-miking (because you're always hearing the speaker itself more than the changes made to the box)?
A lot of work to make that video, yikes.
