After this week, my scientific observation has been quite the opposite. Got a Fever Dream and didn't immediately fall in love with it and then got that little disnortion and am REALLY impressed.
Is the Disnortion based on some other well known circuit or what? Don't know anything about it (I dislike micro pedals except for always on things or tuners, but I am curious)
Gear Round Up:
Ghost Echo: sounds great, especially before a Big Muff style fuzz.
Hizumitas: the fuzz I've always needed.
Glacial Zenith v1: Lots of fun, I need a lot of time to figure it out, though.
Mad Professor Sweet Honey Overdrive: sounds pretty killer.
Gretsch G2655T-P-90: best guitar I've ever owned. Super light. Just the right size. Pickups rip. I'm in trouble if there's ever a USA version because this is my new favorite guitar.
Walrus Deep Six: My gf's. She likes it.
Boss LMB-3: compresses in a bassy way.
Fender Vintara Mustang Bass: fantastic short-scale bass and it takes fuzz very well.

I have to confess I'm proud as hell of that fact
Just ordered one of these beauty. G&L tribute JB. Did not want to spend too much (still wasn't exactly cheap) so figured I'd try one of these new not US or Japan made guitar/basses and see how they actually feel.
Still debating weither I should get a Fender Rumble 100, PJB Cub Pro or something else (looking for a small home practice amp that sounds great. Being able to jam with it (loudness) would be a great bonus but probably not necessary for a while if ai'm being honest).
My partner was looking for a good bass amp for those purposes and ended up falling in love with a Peavey TKO 65. Solid as a rock, clean tone for days, and sounds great.

I've only used it on the lap steel, but I've had no complaints with the joyo sustainer. It's got enough wiggle in the magnets that it can vibrate the springs on my Blackfly.

Cool, the videos I watched suggested it works fine, but it's comforting to know that someone has used one successfully
I failed miserably in waiting before spending the rest of the money, so an AE-01 Mini Aerophone will be here tomorrow.
I finally won't get the G&L which is a bummer. Apparently it got damaged by water or something before it ships.
....BUUUT. I just scored this beauty on reverb. Never heard of NR before but his stuff seems quite good quality and a handmade bass with an aguilar pickup, exotic body woods, etc for $500 CAD, pretty much a no brainer if you ask me. He is a builder from Alberta (Canada).
Some other pictures from the seller I found on a regional classifieds website
Btw NR does not seem to have a website other then an unfinished wix site but I found a pretty rad green guitar with emgs on it for like $1200 cad which, if the crafting quality is great is a pretty great deal https://shanto51.wixsite.com/website/pr ... ric-guitar
Yeah, I've had reverb buys fall trough a lot.. I had it happen 4 times on the same type of instrument.. it just made me realize I didn't need a aluminum topped martin.. Cool bass! although I was hoping you'd end up with a matching Warwick
Thanks everyone! I was hesitant at first because I usually don't like these tinted wood tops but I could not pass on this deal. Really looking forward to receive it!
@Blackened soul: Yeah two Nobbys would've been pretty cool!
Should get a GK MB210-ii for $400 CAD later today which I consider a pretty good deal considering it is about the price of a used rumble 100 and is 350W stock and can go to 500W with an extension cab.
