The Harvester Orphic I picked up this year would give ya a run for your money. ;)
Just found it on IG, Nice!!!
Althought looking at it, how is the balance? Looks like it would neck-dive quite alot but maybe I'm wrong?
It is oddly very balanced and sits very comfortably. The guitar also doesn’t weigh a whole lot which helps!

Not a huge dimebag fan but I've always liked this guitar style. Came out way ahead on this deal value wise. ML79 Standard, like new, still had the plastic on everything.
Amazing!
The pickups in this guitar are the best I've ever had for sure. Clear defined harmonics coming through even with minimal gain overdrive. It's also incredibly lightweight and surprisingly easy to toss around for being so bulky. 8.2 lbs!
I used to hate the humungous headstocks on Dean guitars but I guess I'm over it, lol. I LOVE all the Flying V shit this thing has going on, jack placement, tailpiece, strap etc.

The neck pickup in the Donner tele is dark and weak, but the bridge one is great, the pots and the nut seem fine, and the bridge is a six-saddle. Probably gonna just do the 4-way switch mod, I'm curious to see how the dark pickup in front will stack into the bridge.

much like the Twin Peaks, it's almost a phaser. The tap tempo and options really make it a pretty wild and versatile filter. There are a slew of wave types and it's got a touch sensitive mode that tempo is based on your dynamics.

So preamps with/without cab sim... I'm interested. I love amps but I have to face facts and consider that realistically I'm mostly hanging out at home playing near/into a computer

Interested in stuff that can sound pretty neutral but with options for interesting character... I feel like separate DI/amp level outputs would be a cool feature as nice for gigs and monitoring recording through an amp for funsies though I guess this could be handled with a separate DI box. What is hot, what is not?

Mostly talking about guitar here - capacity to do bass + guitar would be cool but let's not over-extend if nothing does both WELL.

Which one? I have a VSVG on an old Ibanez that is great.

I've somehow wound up with an unexpected Particle 2. Wat do? Besides bleep. I already found all the bleeps in there.

Sansamp PSA? Does bass, too. Not really a modeler in the sense of being built for the purpose of tone-cloning specific amps, which may be a weakness for that very narrow goal, but is generally a strength. It has a very flexible architecture for generating a wide range of sounds with simple controls, so once you get it, it’s easy to get it to a place you want.

Darkglass Element is sexiest. DSM/Humboldt also make some very nice boxes if you want to keep it analog. I have one analog cab sim pedal, a Tomsline shaper; it's fine for a cheapo, but nothing special. Also have the Mooer Radar, which is an IR loader with preamp and eq sections, it's much better. Hotone also has a nice IR loader for not too much.
For digital sims I just have my multi-fx, a Digitech RP360. One thing I've noticed with the cab sims in this is that they seem to be where most of the character and color comes from, not from the selected amp type, which seems to make less difference to the final sound than the cab. Just about turns the amp into an extra/auxiliary gain stage that isn't always necessary; especially if there are other dirt pedals already on, sometimes just a cab at the end is enough.
