Yeah the two things I really wanted out of the lot are the Jazzmaster and Deluxe Reverb. It might be a toss up between the Jazzmaster and both the Tele and Strat though. I'm going to give them all a pretty solid test drive to see what I like most. The Strat probably has the nicest finish out of all three.

I'm probably going to sell a lot of the other stuff to make back some of the money. It cost $6k CDN, which is like $4.7k USD. I figure I should be able to come close to breaking even after keeping a few things.

I'm at a cottage now, but I'm going to do a full inventory when I get back. I'll make a new thread with some more pictures next week

It's a lotta work, but at the end of the day you come out with some nice stuff. Well done.

Just picked up another Caroline Kilobyte. First time (I think?) I've rebought a pedal I'd previously flipped. Gonna get that kilobyte megabyte stack going on.

ohh very nice! As you know I've been thinking about getting another one too... Something about a good PT2399 sound. How come you need two (including mega) though?

It is old wisdom that if you like it you buy a spare

This, but also I always have two delays, first one short, second one long.
Long delay is what I normally use for everything, short delay to stack and go trippy.
Short delay > reverb> long delay for teh atmospheres.

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that I am replacing a Foxgear Echoes for the short delay. It is pretty killer for a simple analog delay, but for the stacking to be more seamless when I add or take away delay it’s character was just too different to the megabyte.

Arcing Prisms arrived!

Image

From the first testing I like it a lot. Made some sweet sounds with both lap steel and keyb. The short/long toggle really gives it two separate flavours and the fact the effect is in the delay line gives it quite a different feel to, say, the Feber. And torquing the feedback or (even moreso) the shift can add some nice momentary/end-of-phrase flourishes.
solo (mostly ambient): https://heraclitusakimbo.bandcamp.com/
duo (electroacoustic vibration exploration): https://wenderlypark.bandcamp.com/
trio (tapes/voice/clarinet/synth/poems): https://ourwaytofall.bandcamp.com/
band (spontaneous kosmische): https://stargoon.bandcamp.com/

Ordinarily I would be really excited about the Bygones (https://www.3degreesaudio.com/), but I've hit a stretch of artistic stagnation and nothing is all that exciting right now. Lots of control over intriguing parameters, in stereo, and weirdly tiny. I'm looking forward to regretting not buying it.

First I've seen that one. I've always wanted to try some Iron Ether

First I've seen that one too. Curious why you got the v1 instead of the v2? Or wait.

Ok, I see. There is regret, in your future, that you are welcoming with anticipation after NOT buying it, gotcha. :thumb: Well, I just bought a V2 after listening to the sound samples on the website. Sounds pretty cool, and it's small, and stereo. If they only could all be that.

Those Arcing Prisms look so nice! I really wanted one when they were first released. One day maybe...

How do you go about ordering one of those? I can't find a website other than their Facebook, which I don't have, but they look really nice and I've been wanting to try some metal picks
I found him on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/isbeycustomdesigns/
Ended up ordering one of these and got it a couple days ago! Only tried it on my acoustic so far and did a comparison with my normal go-to picks. My acoustic has pretty dead strings on it at the moment, but the titanium pick really gave me more attack, volume, and brightness. Really brought the dead strings back to life! They definitely are a little on the expensive side for a pick, so I'm a little terrified of losing it

Yes, I couldn't have not made that clearer. I'm inching toward ponying up the dough, but then I think about the four versions of the Generation Loss that I already have. But then I think about stereo. But then I think about my Beebo, and how maybe it can do this stuff. But then I think about spending hours making minute adjustments to slew rate and whatever, things that pedal designers do for me so I don't have to think about them. And then I think about how I haven't had a gig in a year and a half and there's no sign I'll have another gig any time soon. I'll probably buy it anyway.

Aw, jeez. There have been times where I've hungered for something more insane and audacious for quick-patching/re-routing pedals than, say, the patchulator or the Matrisse (which I still hunger for). And then I saw this:

Image

"The standard MTX8 is an 8 input, 8 output, active analogue device, featuring full buffering of all inputs and outputs, allowing parity gain summing. Routing configuration is achieved by use of a 64-point pin matrix. Inserting a 2mm banana pin into a point on the matrix connects that input (the numbered vertical axis) to a corresponding output (the lettered horizontal axis). All inputs and outputs on the MTX8 are ¼ inch jacks. The device is unbalanced but will pass balanced signals fed to/from it via two or three pole jacks."
