Loupe is also one of the best channels to have on the TV with the sound off while home jamming.

Hero 9 Black arrived today, now I can procrastinate on making videos with the very best of consumer level camcorders.
The comparison vids tell the tale: the auto stabilization and levelling are just untouchable, all the competition gets crushed and nothing comes close, and there isn't much reason to shop around after seeing that. It also has a webcam mode, so it's way better than any regular webcam, and I was still needing one for my new computer, so that base is now covered in true gear fiend style.

Did they fix the stabilization on that one? I remember the last one stabilized the background but not the actual front subject :poke:

oops, wrong thread, sorry 'bout that. Will have to report back on the front vs back stabilization, but the horizon levelling makes a huge difference for sure.

Yeah, I don't need it but wanted to get one out of curiosity. Went really really fast, as expected I suppose. The more vids I see of it, the more I think it is going to be a hard box to acquire any time soon

Big news from LOOPERLATIVE as well!
Their smaller unit the LP2 got a fully new redesign!
Now in a compact casing you get 2 stereo loops and pleanty of manipulations effects!

But if you control it via midi you can get a total of 4 stereo loops (!), and the full in depth control/manipulations you can achieve with the LP1 itself!!! :!!!:

I used to have the LP1 and I loved it, but rack format + a full midi foot controller, bacame travel unfriendly at some point (that's why I switched to a Pigtronix Infinity). So when I read about this and its new features I was like.... it's a dream come true!!!
I will give you a detailed report as soon the unit is here (but I was chatting with a friend in the US who already has it, he was the guy who tested the very first run of prototipes years ago, and he told me the audio quality is top notch).

For the moment more infos here: https://www.looperlative.com/

I briefly had a current revision Looperlative unit and couldn't get along with it because it added a lot of noise to my rig and the cool unique things it does are destructive to the loop. You cant undo the unique shuffle effect once you hit it. The huge appeal of something like the EDP for me is you can build something totally wild and then undo all the way back to the original loop.

I used to have an old LP1, which was running the old firmwave 1.39 (maybe it wasn't perfect, but was solid): I used it for everything (ambient, noise, metal, etc... so loud stuff), never had an issue.
Then when Looperlative started again working on the LP1 and came out with a newly designed unit and a 2.xx firmware, I tried to upgrade my older unit to the newer firmware, but my LP1 had then way less headroom.
I dunno it it was a problem of old hardware vs. new firmware, or a bug in this first 2.xx firmware.
Anyhow I switched back to the 1.39 and at some point I've sold it.
The cool thing this new LP2 is that inside the pedal you have trims for input and output gain. Which is neat because most units on the market have only control on input gain (ehx 22500) or output gain (pigtronix infinity).

The Beebo Loopler is pretty crazy. Built around the old EDP and getting updated pretty regularly.

Today I'm like a child the xmas day: the LP2 is here!!

First thoughts about the LP2, after one hour or so of deep diving.
AMAZING! After ages using the Pigtroninx Infinity, I feel like being back home (as before the Infinity I was using a LP1).
Sound quality is top notch, I had only to first open the unit to set properly the pre/post gain trims: now I can loop also my super loud/earthquake drone-noise synth and the audio is super pristine, no clipping or other noise artifcts!
The Bill Walker set for effect switch 1/2 is perfect for my needs, so I can use both tracks together and have access to the basic fxs (reverse, halfspeed, scramble, etc...). So already like this stand alone you're ready to go.
Then after that I started to implement few midi commands using the Midi Baby 3.
Now I like this i have full access to all the features I need to drive my ambient looping sets!

It's so cool to have back the possibility to be able to create at wish/will synched or unsynched tracks as I was used on the LP1 (you rec track 1, then go on track 2 and press play instead of rec, this will create a void track2 with the same length of track 1!).

Simply amazing!!!!
