Jerry and Parish collaborated, though i think Parish probably did more wiring. after all, he was Garcia's roadie. they were a team for 25 years, and invented and implemented the stereo-cable effects loop. Doug Irwin, and later Steve Cripe, actually built the guitars, but the only time they maintained them was when the Wolf guitar fell off the stage and broke the headstock off. which makes sense...both builders worked in one place, and neither they or Jerry had the resources to fly them out to bumfuck Minneapolis.

don't underestimate Garcia's contribution. he had such an ear and such knowledge of his setup that he would notice when the house power supply dropped 1 or 2 volts. Parish said that whenever he checked it Garcia was always right.
