Early impressions of the new loot:

Benson Germanium Fuzz - a Germanium fuzz that doesn't lose its shit when playing with my guitars' pickups is awesome. It sounds good with my Jazzmaster but with my Tele with TV Jones pickups it absolutely shreds.

Paragraphs - took a little time to figure it out but it sounds great, especially when you let the envelope freely run and add some effects before and after. Definitely a good addition for modulation - I've never really had a filter in my pedalboard.

Ultrasheer - this pedal instantly sounded good. It's like one gigantic sweetspot. Can be completely overwhelming in a recording but it sounds so good that I can't really complain. It's THE guitar reverb sound I've been hunting for with the added benefit of a super simple interface.

ZVEX Octane 3 - this pedal did NOT play well where I tried it out in the signal chain (Tuner, Preamp, Germanium Fuzz before) and was noisy as hell with the Preamp, but once I turned the Preamp off it was much more manageable. I haven't fucked around with octave fuzzes too often but this one has a gorgeous tone, even with the Germanium Fuzz pushing it. When fuzzed out it keeps a surprising amount of clarity and the sustain as it ascends to the upper harmonic is just what I was looking for.

CXM 1978 - I got this for synth use and after using it with the Matriarch and the Prophet I can safely say this is a gamechanger for me. Just a monstrous reverb. The infinite presets are INSANE. I thought I would be fine using Valhalla reverbs in the box but this one has such a gorgeous, cinematic sound that I can't ignore it. I didn't think it was capable of this kind of madness but it can take the most basic patch into an incredible soundscape. Is it worth the considerable price tag? Hard to say - it really depends on your situation/how much you like the Lexicon sound, but the early impressions are WOW.

Microcosm will be coming in a few weeks. Still thinking about what pedals should stay on the guitar board and what should move to the synths.

Just ordered a second TimeBender. The nice thing about buying a pedal you already have is that you can play it immediately. My current TimeBender was previously owned by Noveller, and the incoming one is NOS and apparently has never been out of the box. Investment-grade TimeBender. It's my favorite pedal that I never make music with. I feed it a few notes, hit the Hold function, listen to the notes dance around, tweak some controls, listen to the notes bend and jitter, suddenly it's an hour later.

GASing for this one so bad and I know it is so unnecessary...is it the best thing since sliced bread or what?

I'm still in the honeymoon phase so it's hard to be completely objective but if you like the sound in the demos I think it's a no-brainer. It has pretty convincingly kicked the Dark World off of my board even though I like that reverb. It might be closer to a one-trick pony than a swiss army knife but it's a race-winning horse for me. Definitely an inspiration kickstarter.

Just sold the mesa express. Gonna keep the money but will use a portion of it to get a used arturia minibrute (mk1) tomorrow and I just ordered a Korg NTS-1 (gonna mostly use it as an fx processor). The reverb and delays in it are nice and I really only have a spring reverb pedal and an analog delay pedal so that will be a good addition to my setup :)
