What is the string tension like on that bass? What sort of playing feel?

Is it weird to say I want ALL the things ?

Got a bonus hour and finally hooked up reaper to the Darkglass element so I got a lot to learn but I am finally putting stuff down which is a huge leap for me musically. So next thing will be purchased is the reaper license but that is cheep in the context of everything else I want

I really want to say fuck it all and just order my Virus from Jero but this months bills just stacked up on me - tries, oil change and a trip to the dentist.

I also also have random gas for a MAE Maybe? and a Dr Scientist Atmosphere

fucking USPS delayed my ROYGBIV for an extra day. i want to be done with the front-end board so i can start fine-tuning it, dammit! and i still am waiting on a short TRS cable with right-angle jacks...the Moog pedal comes with a 6-foot cable with straight connectors. who has room for that? the only straight connectors in my entire setup are guitar cords and cables to patch from one sub-board to another.

That is actually accurate
The polymer strings feel a bit sticky so it is a weird feeling to play but I've ordered some labella flats which should improve the feeling. Also I have not set it up properly yet but it plays quite nicely. I'd say it feels like there is less string tension but that might be the string type too. Sorry for that vague and unhelpful description.

I have to say that looking back (a day later  ) I might have been better off with a squier or mexican pbass or jazzbass but I was curious to try it. I just always land on a fret

Incoming (whenever it's back in stock, probably next month): TC Electronic Helix. I read a review that said it sounds good with fuzz, it has a mix knob, and Sweetwater has them on sale for $99. :yay:

Now I need to sell some stuff to make up for this buying spree.

I think i remeber both Mike Watt and Tony Levin saying in interviews about the original Ashborys that you had to put talcum powder on you fingers to play the things :idk:

there's something about the image of Levin playing an Ashbory bass that just tickles me.

This came in today:

Image

The Poly-800 doesn't look too bad in this picture, but it is in fact quite beat-up. The joystick isn't in place and doesn't work and a few keys are almost broken. But so far it works and the price was okay (100 EUR) compared to the crazy prices that these units go for these days. It will receive some love and care and then it will be technically as good as new again. :yay:

Not the worst idea! There is battery acid in the back and I bet a lot of dust and grime when I open it up. Ugly pictures par excellence!
