Vidret got (is getting? is thinking about getting) a tascam multitrack recorder thing because of this very reason. I use a work computer and a home computer, and I use the work computer solely for work. When I knock off I shut the lid, unplug the peripherals and put it away. That gives me enough peace of mind so that I can open my fun computer and do music stuff. But I totally get not wanting more screens. Hit up vid and ask what the hardware thinger is he's wanting/purchased.MaxMaps wrote:So it dosen't look like I am going to be playing this week. But I have plans![]()
-Goroth should be sending me a bitquest soonthat will get paid for soon as long as I behave (its only the 7th .......)
-I really cant wait for a power supply, so I will be going for a DC7 from coast sonic after the 15th. Once I have everything locked down I can take my board and bass down stairs and play if I want too. The Darkglass Element makes this all possible and I am starting to like it more and more.
-More cables .... sigh
- I am still dragging my feet on getting something to record on - using a computer all day at work and then at night for fun is a little grating from time to time. The one thing I like about most pedals is that there is no fucking screen, just a knob and there you go. So I am going to try a TC Talkback when I can afford one.

The last of 2020 still trickling in...
Maybe is pretty nuts. Super wide range of sounds between the individual circuits and the stacked.

...and the first of the year. I told myself no more than 1 per month and this was not the plan for January.
I saw one at a great price so I jumped at it. I've long wanted to try the SSBS TAFM (I love the mini).

I had a TAFM and I never liked mine. Sad because I really wanted too - would love to try it again but after using Jero,s virus fuzz I have to get my own next one the list.
Even though I just blew my budget buying a bitquest (and a power supply soon)

Mine is currently switched to fuzz / filter and makes some super mad sounds

That is why I am so pumped to be getting one - it should complete my board for a little bit and then the plan is to get better at looping / writingPaul_C wrote:BitQuest is 50% Fuzz !MaxMaps wrote:I had a TAFM and I never liked mine. This is interesting because I listened to the Virus and thought it might be the thing to finally kick the tafm off my board. I thought I heard quite a bit of overlap.MaxMaps wrote:I had a TAFM and I never liked mine. i really did like what the tafm did, but the gated-ness of it (on a lot of settings, anyway) in combination with my then-status as "not a bass owner" meant i moved it on.MaxMaps wrote:I had a TAFM and I never liked mine. Really? Did you have the old or new revision? I find mine to be pretty fuzzfaceish and not gated unless i turn the gate onMechaGodzilla wrote:i really did like what the tafm did, but the gated-ness of it (on a lot of settings, anyway) in combination with my then-status as "not a bass owner" meant i moved it on.MaxMaps wrote:I had a TAFM and I never liked mine. uhhh it was pretty old afaik but i am not a hot/hi-output pickup guy so if there is any kind of weird gateyness to a pedal, i tend to notice more than most ppl

I really want to try a BitQuest. It's been on my to try list longer than the TAFM. So far, I dig the TAFM, but I'm not sure it's gonna bump the Samford & Sonny BlueBeard from my board. More fuzzy experimentation is in my future.

The mail is apparently delivered by tortoise at the moment, so I'm still waiting on a Midfi Scrape Flutter and a Jptr FX Jive...plus, now I have a Pladask Elektrisk Feber on the way
