Re: Let's see your KEYS/SYNTHS!
i know Set And Forget is not where the Thyme excels, but she made this simple triangle squarewave Minilogue patch (there's an LFO on the XD's filter) sound gooooooood. and a couple ROBOTS set on Thyme.

have a ton of new gear to get comfy with, but a week off start (WOOT). the plan with Thyme is to explore the delay feels before i tackle the looping and sequencing aspects.

and. because i have the self control of a honey glazed gorgonzola pear pizza (i am bummmmmmmed my favorite pizza place closed. and my favorite local sushi spot. damnit.), ordered a Modal Argon8m.
that is me DONE for now though. i literally don't have any more space for anything.

Heck yes. Digitone is mega. My favourite synth of the very limited amount of synths I've played.
I just have the original version. The keys version is simultaneously ugly as sin and oddly alluring to me.
What's the weight distribution like on it? It looks like it'd be really heavy on one side.

Re: Let's see your KEYS/SYNTHS!
right? i've always LOVED the way their JUST FUCKING GRAFT A KEYBOARD ONTO THIS BRAIN UNIT WE ALREAYDY HAVE DOOOOOOOO IIIIIIIIIT approach to making a keys version plays out. but i don't know if that says good things or bad things about me?
that is a very interesting question that i had to lift it to check on the answer for. it seems pretty evenly distributed weight-wise? i mean. it IS Elektron. so it's a solid metal chassis. and furking HEAVY.
playing with Cycles and the DigiKeys kinnnnnnnda makes me want to get a Digitakt again. partly because i'd like the Digi and Heat and ELEKTRON DRUM MACHINE to all match near each other, which is DUMB, but also because the Cycles interface is juuuuuusst different enough that i think it's killing my shortcut/workflow learning a bit. which is.... not quite? as dumb?
.... also, i'm a GIT. i got the Iridium and the Hydrasynth mixed up, totally ignored the Hydra because i thought it was 2.5 g's which is.... too much man. but then caught that the desktop Hydra (WHICH I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW EXISTED) is only a hundy fitty more than the Argon8m..... and MAN the interface looks so much nicer and more powerful. tons of LFO's and envelopes that can be assigned to almost everything (including EACH OTHER YES PLEASE) and laid out like a series of modules you can click into.... yeah. sending back the Argon unopened, have a Hydra Desk on the way.
why do so many hardware synths have like..... one LFO? maybe two? but then you only have four or five destinations? so odd.

Would love to hear how you are using the Softstep and Minotaur. Similar thinking here at one point but no follow through. High fives.whoismarykelly wrote:Bass/Bass Synth rig for when its thunder time
