I get the joy of the spontaneity of having ALL the knobs within tweaking distance, but perhaps you would benefit from exploring MIDI and putting some of those ideas and combinations into presets and expression pedals? In one button press with MIDI, you can do way more than you can do with all those knobs in front of you.
...I'd pay good money to spend an hour plugged into that setup though. Looks like too much fun!

Top right you might spot a Morningstar MC6, which is currently connected to:cosmicevan wrote:I get the joy of the spontaneity of having ALL the knobs within tweaking distance, but perhaps you would benefit from exploring MIDI and putting some of those ideas and combinations into presets and expression pedals? Ottobit Jr.
Enzo
Mercury 7
Superball
Marshmallow
Colour Theory
Syntax Error
Dusk
Mood
to give me access to all the extra factory presets available on the Meris and Alexander (16 each) (plus I've programmed 22 for the Mood).
I've yet to connect the Blooper or the Mod Rex to the MC6, but those and the 856 can all be added at some point (can't be sure, but I think the Moment Machine can too) and I've got an 8 Step Program which can be hooked up to a lot of expression inputs (and midi), plus I plan to build a two-joystick four way expression controller when I have time.
So while it's all completely mad, that's part of the fun for me, and it's been a very useful distraction through a difficult year.

Twin Bender>
EHX Blackfinger Tube Compressor>
Plumes>
Black Forest>
Minifooger MF Ring>
EHX Freeze>
ZVEX Sonar Tremolo>
Cutting Room Floor (I set this to a mushy chorus/slapback delay type sound)>
CB Montavillian Delay>
MXR Reverb (set to Plate, with expression pedal for full wet)>
Ditto X2
Sometimes I swap out the Twin Bender for an EQD Dreamcrusher. Really gotta get either a Pharaoh or LSTR to plug in there as well, the Black Forest is probably the best thing on there IMO.

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!
The Futura provides modded CE-2-type chorus/vibe waveforms and wacked-out warbles comparable to the Zoom MS-70CDR Bend Chorus effect with the addition of self-oscillation and increased response to playing nuances at various settings. Intermittent shifts between standard and esoteric textures are possible using the second footswitch for momentary toggling. Solid pedal overall, though I wish EHX would do something similar with their Small Clone circuit.Dowi wrote: How do you like the Paradox Futura? Curious to hear some first-hand impressions.
Thanks and agreed regarding Way Huge products. The Blue Hippo MKIII is presently my favorite chorus out of current options in the modulation drawer.MaxMaps wrote: This is solid - props on the way huge pedals, I think they don't get enough love.

I was thinking the same thing. "Wtf, how many different types of boards does Paul have?"

wow, i run my black forest basically opposite of this. depth on 3-4, ccw on bass, lots of treble, maxed out gain and volume around 3 o clock.
Vidret I will try that setting out. So many ways to use this pedal.
I guess we are Black Forest Nemeses, then?

Paul and tremolo, thanks for the help with the pics, I can't seem to get them to drop in the right way.

Update on this madness. Making music most waking hours the last many months. Need to get all cables together on this but I am digging the layout.

Nice and neat! How are you using the Vario? I'm debating whether it would be worth getting or not.robapov wrote:Update on this madness. Making music most waking hours the last many months. Need to get all cables together on this but I am digging the layout.
