Scott had a great run of guitars back in the 00s and has been making noise about building again.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
Looks wonderful, I always loved the 3 p-90s setup.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
thanks guys. the mid pickup is disconnected at the minute coz i couldnt get a sound i liked from it, so i gave priority to having 2xvol+tone controls for bridge+neck.
Thinkin FB pickups would suit me, a tele guy, coz i struggle to get a good balance between the neck/bridge p90s. Neck is fine, bridge is lacking oomph and volume. I might have to play with the tone control setup, it's 50s style atm and I'm not sure i prefer it.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
I feel your struggle. I have never found a bridge pickup that completely satisfied me, specially on the Tele (which I sold), I play always in middle or neck position with most of the guitars.MechaGodzilla wrote:thanks guys. the mid pickup is disconnected at the minute coz i couldnt get a sound i liked from it, so i gave priority to having 2xvol+tone controls for bridge+neck.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
i'm pretty ambivalent about bridge pickups generally. i think good bridge pickups all sound more or less the same, especially with distortion. i have always got on fine with tele/HB/strat[with a tone control] bridge pups but i wish this P90 was just a bit hotter and beefier.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
But bridge pickups are the best. I can't believe what I'm hearing. This specific one sounds like it needs a swap for a high output p90 or hum/mini hum if it isn't balanced with the others

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
The only bridge pickup i have ever liked "by itself" is the LB-1 on my Guild Starfire. Always have been disappointed by single coils, but I admit I haven't played many, so I am open to ideas. I m thinking about swapping the one on my strat.coldbrightsunlight wrote:But bridge pickups are the best. I can't believe what I'm hearing. Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
that's why i want to experiment with getting a new guard and fitting 2xFB pickups. I have the FB pups in a drawer, just need to have the guard made up. i should have done it before the summer when i had spare cashcoldbrightsunlight wrote:But bridge pickups are the best.
