Ditto.

I didn't even know the secondary functions were there, but they don't seem too complicated to grasp. Pretty interested to try out the mix functions in mode 3 now! Do any of these secondary knob functions exist in the first version of the pedal? I really need to read the manual

From a business point view a CT5 mk2 would not be bad I guess. Since the CT5 is the most popular Montreal Assembly pedal. I think a lot of people would be interested in a mk2. Mark my words!

And we can name it after an Advance Shipping notice to a defunct Canadian retail chain.

I kid, I kid, I know the Zellersasm is a different beast.

I don't know what a v4 for the gb24/ct5 would bring other than more outward facing controls. Feature creep is real ya'll. :idk:

pretty much. What makes the CT5 a keeper for me - once you have understood at least the main knob functions - is the ease of use you have with 4knobs if you want just to plug and play without caring about alternate/secondary funtions.

You are just afraid a Count to Five Mk2 will cost you money! Haha.

besides the Q DOWN in M3 to mix the three loops and in M1 to add modulation i don't use the others very much, but that's certainly a smart move.
You should invest some time exploring the different quantize modes by toggling the Q switch. That really makes the difference in making it a musical dynamo vs just a happy accident machine.

yes, probably haven't explained me properly, i was talking about secondary functions (holding down q and move that knob etc.).
Quantize modes are the reason why i upgraded from my old 2switch versions (which had quantize as hidden function, holding the switch and moving dir1 knob) to the actual one, because i often use it as a standard pitch shifter with real short LEN and zero FBK. It actually sounds better than any pitch shifter i have ever tried. I feel it just tracks super fast and has a unique tremolo-like sound. :thumb:

I still fantasize about the alternate firmware with different takes on the three modes that Scott taunted us with ages ago.

ha...i thought the v2 with the added Q switch was too complicated and the improved sound actually lost some of the charm of the first version. i'm sticking with my early 2 switch version forever! :D

hi Jnam

thanks a lot for making that sheet!

i will look it over. i think there are a few small details to change but it looks like a good start. also my instructions on the nightly page are not the clearest.

hi here are some minor endits:

M up column

LED section:
LED alternates red/blue whenever either of the buffer lengths are changed.
(Green description is ok)

Soft switch:
There is no function now when holding the soft switch. Tap will trigger the infinite playback and turn the LED green. That is the only soft switch function in this patch.

Also there are only 8 buffer lengths in this patch (not 10).

M middle column

all ok

M down column

Led White: maybe just copy what you put for Tap here, and in the Tap description "units" should say "unity".

Thank you!

This is amazing! Thank you!!!!

Q - if we load this alternate firmware is there a way to revert back to current? I finally got my head around the Count to 5 just in time for.it to change. I feel lile I should get a 2nd Ct5 for this new firmware?

Curious to hear if anyone has made the update yet and has feedback on the process and how the changes are? Any things to keep in mind?
