I can feel that. I'm putting off even buying a board until the last possible moment before I start playing out and about again.Jwar wrote:Also, Life Pedal into anything or vice versa is awesome. I do love running it pretty standard too. It's funny because I also use my regular Rat all the time. The only thing I'd like to do to this board now is mount that stupid Strymon supply underneath. I'm just being cheap and don't want to buy the mounting brackets. They are only 20 bucks too! hahahaha

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!

Rearranged stuff to make a setup for ambient stuff ith twin rv-3s but just got frustrated about the not playing thing so i swapped them out for thee pitchfactor and I think i accidentally created the end-all new wave board
TAFM>Empress Phaser>Hotkek>Bitquest (set to ringmod mostly)>Boss TU2>Marshmallow>MF Chorus>Gravitas>Pitchfactor (added space echo on the computer in guitar rig 5 set to slapback 120ms and 180 ms just to go with the new wave thing)
I made a really fun pitchfactor patch that ramped from 1 octave down to an octave up, extremely silly but awesome when hit with the ringmod

How do you use the marshmallow vs the Pitchfactor? I mean, I know they're totally different beasts, curious if you have a specific use for each one of those based on their tweakabily (or not).qersty wrote: I made a really fun pitchfactor patch that ramped from 1 octave down to an octave up, extremely silly but awesome when hit with the ringmod

I use the marshmallow a lot for modulation stuff, I first got it to replicate this major 2nd vibrato glide thing i use a lot on the pitch factor. I couldn't replicate the patch at all but I could get a similar vibe, though honestly i like the marshmallow patch more it is kinda like a super extreme flanger. I like the ring mod algo on it a lot, it is a nice flavour albeit not really that ring mody. The random mode is killer too and i like the sample rate knob on the pedal, nearly all my presets has the warp set to go from highest rate to lowest :LOL:Dowi wrote:How do you use the marshmallow vs the Pitchfactor? I use the pitch factor for whammy stuff and corny delays, some intelligent harmonizer stuff too (gotta cop those steve vai moments). I still use it for pitch modulation too because you can set it to go from one interval to another and choose lfo etc. I like the detune and octave sounds a lot too but I havent used them in a while now.
Still wishing for a "perfect" pitch shifter pedal, like I would love something that could do pitch factor stuff but track chords better, not that I dont love crappy tracking too but sometimes I want a perfect octave or fifth above that doesnt fuck over

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!
Thanks for the write up. I went through a lot of Marshmallow videos when it came out because I really wanted to hear how the ring mode sounded but I wasn't impressed. Never had a pedal that does intelligent harmonizing, and honestly I don't think I could be able to use one properly cause most of the stuff I play I change key constantly depending on where I want to play (being the only melodic instrument in a two piece has its upsides and downsides
)

Yeah I understand you totally on the intelligent harmonizer thing! It's awesome for regular major and pentatonic stuff but as soon as you want to do something it just gets messy. I like the effect though, it's awesome on delays. Also I kayzer just uploaded a marshmallow demo, he probably shows off what the ring mode sounds like if he doesn't drench it in delay

I love the way your pedals are placed. It's non traditional and I do shit like that too, so it looks killer! My only suggestion is to utilize that top row a bit so you can turn that dual, but if it works it works! Killer stuff man!!!!
How is the Empress phaser btw? That's one I've yet to try.

And with the cover of my patented Nerd Blocker off. 1590A pedals are a pain so I screwed these three to a big enclosure baseplate and then added a cover on standoffs to keep the settings from getting moved when going in and out of the case. These pedals are always on so I don't need to see or get to them. Thumbscrews for access when I need it

Yours is one of those boards I would love to try because I have absolutely no idea of how could it sound.whoismarykelly wrote: And with the cover of my patented Nerd Blocker off. 1590A pedals are a pain so I screwed these three to a big enclosure baseplate and then added a cover on standoffs to keep the settings from getting moved when going in and out of the case. I think most people wouldn't be into the fact that its a LOT of stuff on a board that ends up not doing much if you don't write to the pedals. Like other than reverb and delay there is nothing that happens if you just turn pedals on and play. Most things are set for momentary functions for stabs of glitch and chaos.Dowi wrote:Yours is one of those boards I would love to try because I have absolutely no idea of how could it sound.whoismarykelly wrote: And with the cover of my patented Nerd Blocker off. 1590A pedals are a pain so I screwed these three to a big enclosure baseplate and then added a cover on standoffs to keep the settings from getting moved when going in and out of the case. However, based on listening to your record on Bandcamp I think you would definitely get along with it. This board is for covering bass and guitar sounds with just a drummer and a vocalist so you'd likely dig it.

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!
Some new dirt. Gray Channel and DLS. Unmarked black/red swirly one is a K Pedals EQD Life Pedal clone. Added to the Philly Fuzz line up with an Infidel.
Yes, there are 8 dirt pedals. The other guitarist handles most of the trippy stuff/leads and is a modulation and delay head, so we balance each other out. And variety is the space of life, no?
Keeley Synth-1 is new. Great combined with the Ditto for an infinite low-end bed, and fun for some other things.
Three big Radial pedals are gone making space, and reducing 15v wall warts/simplifying power. The Loopbone was replaced by a Bigshot EFX and meets the need.
Looking forward to trying it out tonight in the band context.
