It’s funny, really, cause Trump does fill that void for a lot of people and while he lies and at best takes legitimate issues and then adds hyperbole or oversimplification he touches on things that are real. He also perpetuates and widens the gap between people based upon groups - even while speaking against it.

We’re in a tribal time and that’s cause we don’t grasp - especially in the digital age - how the potential to think tribally isn’t something that only happens “out there” to “those people,” that potential dwells in us all. It’s really about whether we as people - on an individual and collective level - want to put in the work to see all of our own biases/projections and how we contribute to the current social cesspool, and also rediscover logic. Legitimate and meaningful social change and growth has always been based in sound reasoning; look at MLK, he studied philosophy and his arguments for racial equality were just not only because it was a moral issue but he showed logically why/how it was just.
