Do you use all the different settings? ive always been interested in quiltersgnomethrone wrote:I use it as a clean platform with pedals so no complaints here. One thing is that it doesn't love being blasted with my BAT pharaoh the way a tube amp does but that makes sense since the pharaoh is really just for beating up tubes anyway I guess. Other fuzzes sound good with it though. What kinda pedals did you try to use with yours?
Nope, I messed with it for a little and this was my favorite setting so I've just left it. That's pretty much how I would use any amp though. Just been running different pedals through it. I got it used for like $235 shipped I think and for that price it's crazy good. Probably not for everybody but I love it.mannequin wrote:Do you use all the different settings?
Everything I've read on the interweb is the exact opposite of how I feel IRL Re: ampsimJonWain wrote:I actually love the distortion in my musicman, which is supposedly crap according to the webz.
With all the different voicings you could probably find a sound you like. If not, ayyyyy pedals, right?imJonWain wrote:How is the onboard distortion?

I seem to go back to the KT88 Sunns as a pedal platform. Very musical and great low end. The 200S is tube rectified and usually gets first pick. One of those and the 50 Plus make a great two-amp, always-on combination. The 50 Plus has mids for days and cuts really well. For grab-and-go situations it's usually the OR or Dwarvenaut and the two 1x12s, with just a tuner and clean boost in front.gnomethrone wrote:daaaaaaaaaaang dude
