The last dentist I went to was cool. An extraction was just $50. I wound just call around, maybe. You could try seeing if a dental school does work as part of training, maybe?

Finally worked up the nerve to call Kaiser and set up a therapy appointment. Its going to be a preliminary appointment to sort out how to approach my now dangerous (at least it feels that way) mental state. I had a bad experience with their mental health services in the past, but its also been four years. im gonna stress what didnt work last time and really shoot for consistent one on one sessions. I need to keep fighting this before it gets worse.

As fate would have it, through family drama I discovered that two immediate family members on my side of the family have bipolar disorder. My mom described their behavior to me, and it matched up alot with my own behavior and mental state. Its something im gonna bring up on thursday.

Part of be honestly hopes its that, so at least whatever is wrong with me will have a name. Just to prove to myself that im not just crazy. I wanna be able to say "im sick but im getting better" instead of "its getting worse, I cant go on". Hopefully this is all a step in the right direction.

One of my great regrets is that before going in for LASIK surgery 10 years ago they gave me a prescription for Xanax (or Valium, can't remember) and I decided to not take it because I didn't think it would be so bad. I've got a high tolerance for pain, yada yada yada.

When they strapped my head to a table, cranked my eyelid open like the Ludovico treatment and sliced my retina with a razor to open a flap, it turns out anti-anxiety meds would have been very useful. It was a short procedure but by far the most helpless I've ever felt.

I would just ask to be knocked the fuck out. Or stoned. But I guess thats not a doable thing. Eh, worth the stress to potentially see again without aid from glasses. I would cry.
