Re: BAKVENDT - ILF Reverse Delay Thing!
The freeze would be awesome. I also think that using the octave on an expression pedal isn't a bad idea because for some reason, when you dial in octaves depending on the pedal an expression pedal can dial it in easier (at least for me). I've experience this on numerous pedals. Like the pot sweeps too much and you can't hit that sweet spot you want. This one is fine but I'd love to see some kind of sweep in general. Even mix would be great for bringing the effect slowly in and out. I'd love a freeze stomp too for unlimited sustain, but you know, if we going all in on want lists here, I could just go crazy. lol.
It's a fun pedal, super useful, amazing voice. Love it. I think it's a winner for sure.

Here's the blue beauty on one of my bass boards.
The -1 octave through a big ol' 2x15/2x10 bass cab is amazing and summons all kind of demons!

I've been using it like 3rd after my 14 knob Noise swash with LFO.. it really does summon demons.. It's really great the way the level knob works with mix. You don't have to run it super thick, and it still brings layers to everything that's happening. I put a kill switch on the swash so you can stutter sounds and really let the Bakvendt shine as it decays. So good.

Not anything planned atm but we'll see. If I decided to do a second batch some time next year how would people feel about the Octave selector being replaced with a knob (+/-1 octave range) and the grain direction switch being removed (always forward)?AlastairWatts wrote:Are more being made by any chance? Personally I like the octave switch and the grain being just the way it is.Pladask wrote:Not anything planned atm but we'll see. Cross-posting this here... this be a taste from a band gig I played last month: https://hearthis.at/mechanical-forest-s ... 018-10-12/
Bakvendt is the main effect on my melodica here, you can hear some cool graininess and shiftiness.

Re: BAKVENDT - ILF Reverse Delay Thing!
Has anyone come up with a "regular" simple reverse delay setting for the Bakvendt?

Re: BAKVENDT - ILF Reverse Delay Thing!
And here's another tip per Knut about the freeze function since it's not entirely clear in the manual where it states that freeze works on the TIME/STRETCH knob (also labeled that way) combined with the infinite setting on LOOP/REGEN:
"I guess I should have written "freeze the playback speed". The this is that TIME/STRETCH max the playback position "freezes" / doesn't move, but to achieve a freeze effect that's stable (infinite decay) this must be paired with the right LOOP/FEED setting. You need non-destructive feedback which you achieve by setting LOOP/FEED to the minimum position. When you set LOOP/FEED to max you regenerate the whole freeze process which results in glitches associated with re-synthesis. Hope that makes sense."

For $700 I'd imagine this seller should be hand delivering it personally, so that's just added bullshitNo returns

AAaaaanyway, I have been absolutely slammed with moving/work so I haven't really been able to set up my recording stuff, but god DAMN this thing is great. Still been trying to figure out where it works best in my chain, but i've been having a lot of fun with it either in the effects loop of my Tåken or right before a heavy square fuzz (your and you're for me), but everywhere I put it adds something new. Great job on this one!

That's beautifully strange and playful! Glad Bakvendt could be a part of it!
That price is just ridiculous. Will anyone buy that? I don't understandworra wrote:Another person for the blacklist:
