Do that. Nobody needs to start a marriage in debt. And weddings are fucking expensive.

Beer, bread, and depression have turned me into a chubby bag of tits. I want to sign up for the gym but it's almost new years, which means EVERYONE else also wants to. Maybe I'll just try to eat right in January and sign up February 1st when all the resolution members stop showing up.

I want to date again but I'm not about to let anyone see this body without multiple layers of clothes covering it. Also I go into full on panic mode at the slightest hint of anything physical happening with anyone so that's not helping. I've been hanging out with a girl from work. Just posted a bunch of stuff that I then cut and will post in the soy thread shortly. Whiny dating life shit. Anyways.

OH! Also hit something on the road today and now have 2 flat tires, so I get to spend my off day tomorrow dealing with that.

Also had the busiest night of work ever (also made the most money I've ever made in one night at a restaurant in my entire serving career) and I'm exhausted and just wanted to play Mario but the controller is in my son's room where he's currently asleep with my grandpa so I can't do that.

The apartment below us throwing a very loud party. Pot stench coming up through our bathroom stronger than ever. My baby is asleep in the next room, sick with a fever. I go into dad-mode and call the cops for the first time in my life.

They're quiet now.

it's 18 degrees F. outside, and the building's heating system is not working. i'm typing while wearing my down jacket and sitting on the living room sofa. i'm about to go warm up my car so i can turn on the heater and get warm. i don't know what i'd have done last night if it wasn't for my warm kitty.

Pretty sure I strained my hamstring getting out of the car.
Also, I've noticed an increase in anxiety over the last couple of weeks that's starting to take its toll.

The weird thing is that I haven't really had anxiety since high school (~4+ years ago) and the holidays were actually pretty lax outside of the usual couple of annoying customers.

Blew 2 tires yesterday. 3rd had a nail in it. "Might as well replace all 4," they said. "Buy 3 get 1 free," they said. "Your alignment is off," they said. "Oh, I just realized that deal doesn't apply to your size tire," they said. "Five hundred thirteen dollars" they said.

  total balls man. I would have just gotten a little bigger tires or some of those cool spoke wheels that are like 12" .. :joy:

Tire places make crazy margin too. It's super frustrating. I'm sorry it has to go down that way.

The wedding industry is a fucking joke. Everything is premium priced as they prey on the idea of making your special day the best day ever. And it won't be anything but one disaster or another. We were already fucking poor and somehow ended up feeding a bunch of our parents friends, all the while we were buying weekly groceries on our credit cards. Took us years to get out of debt anyway, the wedding didn't help. The wedding wasn't even fun. If we could do it all over again we would have flown to Vegas to make it our honeymoon too and done a bunch of dumb tourist shit. We could have flown two friends down too and still spent less and had more fun.

The best way to save money is to go to every vendor and tell them it's a birthday party or something and probably never go in as a couple. That sounds weird and awkward, but the price of everything quadruples as soon as you say "wedding". It is quite a racket. Flowers, catering, venues, the prices all skyrocket the second they get a hint of wedding. Not everyone wants a huge traditional wedding anyway. I'd like to say "it's for you, do what you want", but in reality it's usually for your parents and everyone else in your family, most of the time.

My brother is getting married next year...everyone in my immediate family (I'm probably the most outspoken on it  ) is trying to get them to have it on an island. Make it a destination wedding so that they circumnavigate all the planning. Instead of having a wedding with lots of people, propose it as "If you can come...great...if not...we'll be on the Island"
"SWIPE LEFT ASSHOLE!" -retinal orbita
"Whatever ASSHOLE here’s my pedal that makes humpback whale noises and also it has a built in sequencer so stick it in your craw! -retinal orbita
"Patty Mullen takes me from a ball peen to a sledge" -The Great Velvet Hammer
"...at this exact moment Divine has learned of your jealous scheme from the local town gossip. She also has your address, ASS HOLE!" -Narrator (Mr. J) PINK FLAMINGOS

Im legitimately sad that Filthy Frank is retiring. So many years of funny shit. Gonna be sad not looking forward to any more dank memes. Papa bless.

On a serious note, still sick. Just got over being sick last week and im back at it again with a runny nose. Fuck my immune system.

Also had people ask me recently about having more kids someday. Been awkward telling family Im not having any more, but its my choice.

The next 38 or so hours are going to balls to the wall busy for me at work. 2 restaurant jobs on new years weekend. Hopefully lots of money but this I'm going to have to make a hard career change soon if I want my physical and mental health to remain.
