Get a filling on a tooth, they get level wrong and it cracks. They re-do it. Cracks again. They say crown the tooth. They prep tooth for crown, and botch that so I'm uncomfortable for 3'weeks. Go back tell em of discomfort and without looking they say I need a root canal. So I go to different place for a consult. He says I don't need a root canal. Go back to original dentist to get real crown put on. Even more sensitivity to cold and some throbbing pain since. Go back. Looks fine they say . Refer me to get a second opinion from different Endo guy. Go there today and says I need root canal. Likely due to the stress the tooth went through due to those botched workings before.

Filling $100
Crown $400
Root Canal $450

Dope.

I fucking loathe dentists

Oh and Hurricane Irma looks likely to cause an impact where we are in GA.

Maybe they'll imbue your skeleton with eldritch power, allowing it to wander the Earth well after your soul departs.

Soul isn't going anywhere, though that sounds pretty cool.

You almost have to be your own handyman, plumber, mechanic, doctor, and dentist. The only benefit of dental visits is the assistant's boobs in your face.

Glad you're safe man, That business is no good, and I'm saddened that it is now going somewhere else. That's the nature of storms though, they have to go somewhere

My parents (and half of my guitars) are right on the worst part of the storm, luckily they live in one of those gargantuan fortress apartment buildings and on a 4th floor, but I'm still scared for them. They didn't prepare until way too late so they lacking in materials.

My sleep cycle has been insanely messed up to the point that, after "napping" for a couple of hours around 11:00/12:00, I was left totally wired and unable to sleep.
So, I'm just gonna stay awake and hopefully I'll end up being so incredibly tired that I'll go to sleep at a normal time tonight and finally fix the cycle.

But it's more likely I'll just do the same thing again and make things worse.

Anyone else have trouble watching the news?

All this vaguely "this is how fallout games usually start" type shit has my anxiety shooting through the roof. I feel like a zombie. It doesnt help that all my fears the last year have been revolving around death.

Its too much, for me at least. Anyone have ways they deal with shit like this?

I'm a little ashamed to say that I'm checked out. There are problems that are sorta within my control that keep me up at night...this nigh-on eschatological shit does not help. Play D&D? Escape reality?
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.
