Same here. Also, the hold is still probably my favorite firmware update yet.

and a ct5 in a big box would be amazing!
more knobs! or external / CV controls?
right now the next update will just have 1 preset. it will just write over the power up default for the hidden parameters, and also have a way to restore factory settings. basically you can have 1 favorite setting that it defaults to.

a big box ct5... maybe but it's not the first thing i would do., we are making more devices. what are they... time will tell.

s
that sounds rad! very exciting stuff. now I just need to sell some things to fund mine. at least I know I'll be able to get one.
thanks Scott!

all those people curious about the PURPLL should check out the other mtl.asm thread where it's been pretty well detailed.

Just got the notice mine shipped. Thanks a lot Scott! Sorry to have been so redundant!

Will be looking out for when the 856 is back in stock (even though my dumbass cannot comprehend how it works).

It gets easier once you play around with it. Just follow the manual and you'll get a clearer picture

So I decided to update my ct5. For some reason the latest update was doing nothing. Like everything stayed exactly the same. So i tried the one right before and it worked fine. Not sure what was going on. I'm fine with it as is for now though because I'm not noticing any bugs or whatever. Looks like there will be another update soon so I'll just try again then.

But yeah, the update. Holy crap. The hold on mode 1 is awesome. I've been using it a lot. And I'm excited for the preset update because I love setting a subtle modulation on mode 1. It'll be nice to just have that ready to go every time I power up the board.

The mode 3 step modulation just incredible. I would have never thought to do that. It I think it's my favorite feature now. It brings the pedal closer and closer to this ideal effect I have in my head for an independent soundscape maker haha. Make a long loop of just a few notes, have everything at a slow step modulation, run it into a delay and 100% wet reverb, sit back and listen to the slowly morphing and evolving ambience.

Make sure you download to the device correctly. Use the upgrade button circled in green. Many people have had this problem, here is what happens, maybe it happened to you too, maybe not

DOwnloaded dfu from website. Clicked on upload in upload action in dfuse(wrong). Windows asks you to pick a file, but this is actually specifying the file to be written to, and teh dfuse is going to read the flash on the ct5 and write it to that file. So you click ok to do that.

Now what? the downloaded file has been overwritten by the previous contents of the flash. So even if the second time you select Upgarde under upgrade or verify action, teh file is now overwritten so it will just reprogram it with what was on the ct5 to begin with

SOlution: Delete the dfu file locally. re download teh 0.963 firmware and make sure you use the correct button.

If you want you can keep the old one and compare the sizes, if they are different then you know the first download file has been altered accidentally.

The manual is out of date. please see this post for details. All posts with changes are linked at the top of the manual too.

Ok... now I have to try the step modulation. Look what you did now. Welcome to the hold club though. I use the hold almost every time I play now.
