lokmund wrote:Hi ho! I've been visiting this board as a guest a couple of times. After a general sense of gas and pedal-mania came back to me a couple of weeks ago i decided to register. I miss exploring sounds and effects as i have been focusing on drums and metal-riffage the last couple of years. Now i want to explore the experimental and ambient side of myself more and this place seems just the right amount of warm, clammy and fuzzy so i hope i'll fit right in.

Also, i hope most of you don't mind shipping to Norway. :hello:
Yusss! I was wondering when you'd show up

You will fit right in. Hide your wallet.

Hey all, my name's Rob, or r13v. My first experience with "fuzz" was a beat to crap, ProCo Rat from the early/mid 80s a pal gave me when I was 13. I don't know what happened to that, but since then I've gone through Fuzz Faces, Muffs, and various boutique fuzzes. Nowadays, I've got a Swollen Pickle MkII, but I'm really jonesin' for a Wizard Fuzz.

Anyway, I play guitar, teach music lessons & also teach music history at a university. Found this place and thought I could learn a bunch from y'all, so, thanks in advance!

Hey y'all, new here. Used to hangout on HCFX until it died. Basically quit playing for a couple years, picked it up again over the last year or so and got the GAS all over again. Fortunately, I have pretty limited skills, so I didn't lose much with the break. Electric Wizard is my spirit animal. I have no band or real musical aspirations, I just like to make noise. I tend to lurk more than anything. Look forward to finding new things to blow money on in search of that magikal tone that probably doesn't exist.

hope you stick around, man.

we're occasionally immature and odd but lovable.
we're never that immature friend who invites you out with his coworker only to find they're all equally immature replicas of that friend.

most of us are civil and reasonably neat.

for some reason boner is synonymous with awesome so you'll have to roll with that...

Also play guitar, keys & bass...

Absolutely luv the avalanche run pedal...
it 's incredible !!!!!!!!!
I hav a home studio...record with logic x... & use a mac mini

I've connected the avalanche run to my pedal board... and it's an incredible add-on... works very well...
Luv the "sounds"!!!!!!

I do have a question????

I hav a midi controller on my workstation desk... there is only a midi out connect & a usb connect...
I'm tryn to hook up the avalanche rum pedal to this controller.. so i can run it thru the midi controller and add to the fun ;0)
i use a focusrite interface...

any ideas ????
what ever i try doesn't seem to work...????

Peace,
D

Yeah, you're gonna need to connect the midi keyboard to your computer and load up a virtual instrument in Logic. Then, you'll route it to the pedal, through a line out of your soundcard and then back in an audio in.
Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth
