Yeah rings are just for visual reference. The whole ribbon responds to touch, so maybe think of it kinda like a single string violin neck...kinda hahaactualidiot wrote:It was the "The graphics are at best an approximation." that made me come to that conlusion - I assume ugf meant that the rings aren't that accurate, thus making the controller unusable for a guy like me. I need to know what key and shit I'm in.D.o.S. wrote:Snarky answer: "username checks out"
Real answer: ribbon controllers are the beeeeesssst, at least coming from someone like me who can't really play piano/keys.

One of my Infinity Loopers has been flaking out on me, so I bought a 3rd one. So, a bittersweet purchase.

Never tried soldering 0402 SMD before, probably going to want to off my self part way through. Going to the hot air gun route this time around.

Anyone ever have a bunch of shit incoming and it just NEVER seems to fucking come. Sigh.

Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!
Was bummed all week for multitudinous reasons and yesterday I was just sitting around thinking about the SSBS Mini that I had ordered. Brian has said he'd be shipping in mid-November so I just sat there all day thinking "well, today's the first day he could probably ship it. hope it gets here soon". Got home and checked the mailbox and there it fucking was! I needed a new pedal yesterday so bad and SSBS delivered.
Then I got in the house and my wife and youngest child were asleep (and sick). I can't test out an overdrive at gentle soothing volumes, people!

This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.
