Customer calls up to bitch about the wait time for their repair.
Gets told that it'll be done when it's done and I have no definitive idea when it'll be done but I'll call him in a week with an update.
Complete silence for a solid 30 seconds.
"Yeah.......okay."
He then hangs up the phone and proceeds to send an email bitching about, "that tech that I've talked to twice who hasn't given me a straight answer."
He doesn't realize that it's just me and my dad here so he probably didn't expect a response which can be summed up as, "yeah, fuck off, mate."

My diabetic dog scratch her fucking eye with some shit that was on her paw. We've been using the stuff the vet gave us to no avail, it had green shit in it. So we read about using colloidal silver for dogs eye infections, and it got better fast! Then all of a sudden over night she got a mass in her eye the size of her eye!!! I told my wife and we rushed her to the vet. Now they she's on anti-biotics, and pain reliever for her eye. They want her to come in next week and remove her fucking eye!! She's blind in the other one too. So she'll be completely blind now. :( I'm very upset even though she hasn't been my favorite, I feel horrible and hate this kind of shit. I wish I could do something for her. I can't help but think this was all our fault somehow, but I don't know what we could have done. :(

Eye problems are common among diabetic people. I'd imagine it's the same with diabetic dogs. So, it's probably not your fault.

Just for once I'd like to not have to harass the shit out of my clients for payment. It's fucking humiliating.

While recovering, I'd treat it as a prime opportunity to learn/focus on something new. Or revisit something old, dive right in. Like a drum machine, synth, sampler... or see what you can do with a smartphone.

Years back when I was learning to play bass, chipped a bone in the wrist of my dominant hand at the local skatepark. A most painful spot as it turns out. Anyway I learned to write left-handed on the fly in order to keep a shitty job where I was overworked & underappreciated. This gave me $ for every bit of vinyl, vintage tubes and hifi I could gobble up which later helped a fella through some extended dark days.

Now a lot of that stuff has become trendy and expensive, pricing me out of markets where I once enjoyed finding deals on the regular. Also local regulations have been passed against curbshopping & dumpster diving at recycling centers and landfills. No more frequently awesome free scores :grumpy:

do you do wrists stretches at all? done any physical therapy? take any supplements for joint health? I've done all three after getting tendonitis and I almost never get any pain now. hope you can find some relief buddy.

Keep having to swat this fruit fly away from my glass of wine.

I'd pour him a tiny bit to share, but I know then he'd bring all of his friends.

Same.
It drives me insane because they harass me like fucking crazy for a repair ("Is it done yet?" the day it shows up, "How long's it gonna take to fix" before I even have a chance to look at it) then just completely ignore me after I send them an invoice.

On the upside, I can now write lyrics for Evanescence.

I've started stretching a lot more which definitely helps. I wanna get some 1-3lbs weights to do some wrist strengthening exercises as well. Its actually feeling a lot better already, I know I just need to keep resting it to ride it out and not jump back into playing too soon.

A big part of it is needing to be more relaxed/not as tense when im playing, cuz I definitely feel like that's causing excess strain. Need to stay conscious of that.

Dad didn't have cancer, now he does. Infamous for announcing bad news to the heavens, eerily quiet this time. That's what makes it scary this time.

I don't think.

Really sorry to hear that inconuucl. I hope there's good news in the future on that front, and i'm always thinking positive thoughts for my fuzzfriends.

in my own gay-cliche hellworld, BDSM is basically the most infuriatingly boring thing to be forced to hear your room mate doing. Like, i get that it's fun, but from a room away it just sounds so trite and cliche. We get it, you can get spanked a bunch. Fuck off and let me fall asleep now.
