Mantic Density Hulk arrived today. How fucking tall is this pedal!? Will have to go at the back of the board, anything behind it will be lost..... Tonight I will play dub bass lines endlessly.
Soooooo the density hulk I got doesn't output a clean signal from the 'out' jack when bypassed, clean signal only available through the 'dry' jack whether effect is engaged or bypassed. I lost my boner so quick when I discovered that I was worried it wouldn't come back. Mantic confirmed it must've been modded and was one of the first 20 built hence the ridiculous height of enclosure. Reverb seller was clueless and thought that was normal operation, but is accepting return.
So then I thought 'I know what'll cheer me up, a thick slab of metallic synth tones from my 4046-m'. I plugged it in and got 'SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAALLLL'. 12 power supplies and varying pitches of squeal later confirmed it is indeed dead.
Andrew and Steven at fuzzmonster are replacing again for me but it will be a few weeks, so I mean no real losses here, just one hell of a shit evening. Counting on UC's scrutator and rembrandtvanrijn's t-resonator to resurrect my horny and help me forget this nightmare happened.
Ah, dude, that sucks. And being in the UK too, everything takes twice as long. Sometimes I think I'll just have a full board of Stone Deaf or something and be done with it, just in case.
I cordially invite you to fuck right off and let the rest of us talk about music like adults.- dubkitty

I built one a couple weeks ago for someone on this forum! 10/10 module. Building another one and a Temps Utile (hopefully) next week.
I really like that panel, wonder where he got that one from.

He said a local CNC place does them for him. In fact the whole turnaround time was waiting for the panel, he said he had finished units on hand but needed to order panels. It was a little more expensive, but less complicated, than ordering a magpie panel sent to his address.
I've sold a bunch of stuff recently and therefore had the funds to buy a bunch of stuff! All in the mail on their way, but I am finally the owner of an Industrialectric Echo Degrader and I'll be adding a SSF Mini Slew, Make Noise Tempi, and Noise Eng Ataraxic Translatron to my modular system!

pretty neat when you set up the left/right settings as mirror images of one another

Also, I didn't know you did module builds for people Strange Tales, good info to have! Let me know what you think of Temp Utiles, seems like it could do a lot.

Yeah! Really surprised I hadn't seen anything of this unit until it came up in bst. Your demoes helped secure the GA$! Having a dual bypass looper made for it so it can go on my board

That was my very first time
I'll definitely make a post about it! Seems like the best timing module even if the firmware is technically still a beta.
Got a best price in part due to slightly bent rack ear, still took 6 months of layaway, but it's finally here
5 min of straightening later, almost ready for ze elite curves
Patch panel incoming, with plenty xlr patch cables
Tracking/bass, electronic drum game bout to get trill

Just bought this 1980s Japanese analogue stereo chorus pedal for dirt cheap (£20) for something that doesn't seem to have any reputation online I can happily attest that it is a very lush and intense chorus pedal - instant early 1980s Cure sound. Definitely worth getting one at this sort of price if you need a chorus that isn't subtle but is cheap and rather lovely. I just plugged it into a delay and two/three other chorus pedals and I'm sailing away on chorusey fuzz clouds that gently pulsate.
