Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!
Huh, I opened the Maxon DM-01 (basically what sold as Ibanez DML-20 outside Japan) that didn't light up thinking that it was probably a switch issue or something like that because it didn't cut sound when powered and found a disconnected wire going to the main PCB. I managed to solder it back where I think it was before and now the thing works except that it goes off for about one second when switching the delay time range and the minimum delay time is the same as the max one for some reason.
Still unsure whether I want to send it back or not...

NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Malekko Wiard Joystick Axis Generator
takes X and Y Audio and/or CV inputs then outputs
1 = inverse Y
2 = (inverse X + inverse Y)/2
3 = inverse X
4 = (inverse X + Y)/2
5 = Y
6 = (X + Y)/2
7 = X
8 = (X + inverse Y)/2
Dôme = 10V + (inverse rectified X + inverse rectified Y)/2
Edge = (rectified X + rectified Y)/2
Has 2 inputs for X and Y too
also messed up last night when I installed the new Denum by hooking the power cable backwards frying it
it uses surface mount components so figured I was fucked but I emailed the builder and he got back to me this morning with info that I could replace or jump with through hole 10 ohm resistors or just bare wire so long as I power it up correctly
had some 10 ohm resistors in the garage, soldered them in and it works

So, I already posted about this pedal, but new info has come to light! I thought it was a prototype Hawk but I asked Brian and he thought it might be a prototype Mini. I finally got to test it out today and it sure as fuck sounds like it!
Behold, the Protomini.

My spirit pedal hath returned.

lol. fucking thread moves so fast didna see this.neonblack wrote:So what the fuck you guys. ILF delivers on the gear, and most importantly the joy, yet again.
Thanks to the kindness of aquietcabin I have this sweet fucking shredder incoming (that won't be used for traditional shredding but I'm hoping that FR bridge ain't just for looks)
And fuckin Bendhy dropped a suprise love bomb on me today. AND he sent me some pedals!
It's a weird filter (splatter) a blacksheep outlaw OD (skullz, never heard of this)
And the cherry on top, a prototype SS/BS/DFAS Hawk! Super stoked about all this. OH! And Chank gifted me a Fredric Utility Percolator, which I've been borrowing for a few months now and sufficiently fell in love with when I still had my Jazzy.
So now I'm going to save up and get a Micro Terror unless anyone has any suggestions for decent cheap amps that take dirt well. Luckily I managed to hold on to my Dominion 2x12 so I have a badass starting point for my rig to come.
I love you guys.
so good. love that you're doing well and getting Anger Face Control Zone ready. woot!
urf. and yeah. MINI proto. not a Hawk. DURP.

UC took the pic out of the BST thread, I'll post up a (dick) pic when it arrives.
Mantic Density Hulk arrived today. How fucking tall is this pedal!? Will have to go at the back of the board, anything behind it will be lost..... Tonight I will play dub bass lines endlessly.

Definitely worth the sale price. Tons of smooth muffy tones are possible with crazy harmonics when notes are sustained. Total Frippertronics with a looper. My Clusterfuzz was once the goto dirtbox for these types of tones. Its days in my collection may be numbered.hotknife wrote:Nice! The clips of these sound awesome. Seems to be capable of some lovely octave effects with the neck pickup too. Tempted to grab one and/or a Frog with these Halloween sales.ck3 wrote:Sales and flipped gear monies tend to inspire YOLO moments ...

Excited about this one! Built for me by Michigan Synthworks, came out very pretty imo. Big ribbed knobs with indicator stripes... sorta pointless on an encoder but my pick so that's on me.

Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!
Soooooo the density hulk I got doesn't output a clean signal from the 'out' jack when bypassed, clean signal only available through the 'dry' jack whether effect is engaged or bypassed. I lost my boner so quick when I discovered that I was worried it wouldn't come back. Mantic confirmed it must've been modded and was one of the first 20 built hence the ridiculous height of enclosure. Reverb seller was clueless and thought that was normal operation, but is accepting return.chrisdermo wrote:

So then I thought 'I know what'll cheer me up, a thick slab of metallic synth tones from my 4046-m'. I plugged it in and got 'SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAALLLL'. 12 power supplies and varying pitches of squeal later confirmed it is indeed dead.

Andrew and Steven at fuzzmonster are replacing again for me but it will be a few weeks, so I mean no real losses here, just one hell of a shit evening. Counting on UC's scrutator and rembrandtvanrijn's t-resonator to resurrect my horny and help me forget this nightmare happened.
