BLK/TRI pickups! Whoever said contact the guy on instagram was spot on, he responded to me in like an hour. The bobbins are made out of fiberglass according to him.
Going to do a Fury in the neck and BKS in the bridge. Also going to wire it so I can have those bitches in series as well.
Might be following your lead soon Strange Tales. As I said, I want two frost giants for the "percussive" sounds.

Got me man! hahahaha! I've asked Ed before and he's very quiet about it. He says it's an original design. I'm inclined to believe him, but know he had to have some starting point obviously.
Mr. Excane might know more. He has two versions of the circuit. LOL!
It is a fuzz with different voicing and has some octave up qualities in there as well. It's very unique especially with bass.
I'm sure you can get something similar but nothing quite the same. That's what I love about Toneczar and lately the prices have gone down! Not for new but for used. I scored two Toneczar pedals recently for half the fucking price they normally go. That's INSANE.

I get very skeptical when people claim original designs w/r/t fuzz pedals. Not that I care about somethign being unique as my only reason for purchase -- I just like to know the geneology.
Toneczar stuff looks rad but any time I'm looking to spend that sort of money I'm looking at modular gear.

Yea I understand what you mean. I feel the same way sometimes. I'm back on the Toneczar bandwagon because I've been finding really good deals. Granted those deals are still pretty damn expensive, they are way better than they were months ago. Reverb has actually brought the used values down. Bad for resale, good for collectors. I want to collect them and use them. Don't care as much about resale anymore on Toneczar. Ed is an awesome guy and I've talked to him many times, so I feel good buying his products. But the price on these suckers is one I'd agree is a bit hard to swallow. Especially on the Echoczar. Fuck. LOL
