the guy also had a Mid Fi clarinot clone with a switch to bypass the fuzz, that I'm really having to hold myself back from buying.

Green Ringer's a simple enough circuit that a straight up clone usually sounds pretty good.Think it's hard to mess that up too badly. Some do sound slightly better than others though.

Clarinot clone? :poke:

Have you tried playing anything from the first QOTSA record with it yet?

I have not actually. I'll give it a try. Tips in terms of settings, placement in the chain, stacking with a particular style of dirt peddle...?

I mean if you flip the mode to 'distortion mode' it's like 95% of the dirty guitar tone anyway.

As for my personal use, I put it at the end on the clean mode for tone shaping, and use it with some kind of Super Muff being goosed by a Singing Tree. that's been my de facto bass tone for like 5 years at this point?

Haven't been around lately since my work blocked this site!

But thought I'd share most recent purchase:

i had no intention of buying a guitar right now or anytime soon but instantly wanted this and put in the order!! I know it's definitely not everybody's style but i really dig the look and the specs on it. I've always wanted a black LP so now i'm adding it to the stable! Pretty unique at that.
