Define lacking.

They just didn't function well. Terrible/laggy tracking (Organizer and BitCommander).

I'm getting my desk set up to do some demos for all of my pedals eventually. I want to do them for guitar, a p-bass tuned to A, and a short scale bass in standard.

It'll mostly get used on bass though, combined with an OBNE Reflector and a Heavy Machine.

Well, this is using a new development platform for them, so it's most likely not going to sound like their other pedals. :idk:

Hence wanting to check it out. :)

All I meant is that when you get two pedals from a builder that you feel shouldn't have been released in the first place, doubts grows.

Never did try either of the ones you did but from EQD I have owned:

Afterneath- Awesome pedal and a really unique reverb/delay sound that I may buy again. Wasn't great for live use due to the volume drop I experienced with it though. Now that I split my board up, could definitely see a use for it on my big 'recording' board.
Depths- Cool vibe and worked well, just didn't use it often.
Monarch- Sold to my guitarist because it sounded better on his guitar setup rather than my bass, really great OD
Arpanoid- If I didn't have a Nasa Attribute, I might pick up another, loved for drone and synth use. The NA beats it though, tap tempo and so many options.
Rainbow Machine- Never found a use for it, all settings sounded fairly similar

I've always liked EQD and think this is exactly the delay/reverb that I'm looking for in a band context.

The new EQD stuff looks WAY better than their previous stuff. I could see this as a fresh start for them, or at least how I feel about them. All three of the new dirt pedals sound rad. Like really rad. I especially want the Bellows. And the spatial delivery sounds great. Least funky envelope filter ever. Night wire seemed cooler at first. I was expecting a harmonic trem like the Gravitas does but it seems like it's another repeater clone with envelope control (which is cool) and a phaser in the background (which is less cool).
