These guys seemed to be kind of huge (or at least huge for being slightly obscure) for a while there. I'd assume you've heard this stuff, but then again I was just realizing that I never hear anyone talk about em anymore:

Bibio - gets a bit poppy at times, can be kind of precious but overall I've really enjoyed listening to a lot of it. Also pretty cool guitar stuff going on—I think he takes it out of "traditional" (do with that what you will) guitar without making it some kind of crazy atonal thing. Maybe the smarter way to say that is "guitar in a slightly electronic context," which I think can be really tricky to pull off well.

Oh shit, one more I remembered, @inconuucl. My friend Chris does a ton of stuff that's sort of all over the improvisational/experimental map, but his 2007 record Twilight & Ghost Stories is really great. Very flowing sort of glitch stuff, uses a lot of field recordings. The rest of his music is awesome, too—the new Psychic Temple stuff he played for me almost goes into indie pop territory. But anyway, here:

There is some guy that I can't remember, but surely found it in this thread many years ago...he played easy bluesy stoner rock kind of stuff, and it was just his name, but there may have been other players, hard to remember. The videos were very 80/90s. Really wish I could think of it. Every time I try, I come up with, "Sonidero." So maybe his name started with a S...or a j?
