TWO FUZZES, EACH WITH OCTAVE DOWN SWITCH, one filtered, one tremolo'd, momentary switch for stutter and cutoff modulation

Yeah that was our feeling too. Filter was amazing, fuzz was way tame for what you expect from DBA. We are discussing a different fuzz when we make our own version, or possibly just keeping the fuzz out all together.UglyCasanova wrote:That Evil Filter clone is crazy. It can definitely cop the APTBS sound, as well as some more usable/traditional sounds. The filter has a very wide range. Painful highs and sickening lows. Good stuff! The fuzz is surprisingly tame on its own though, but I guess that's really not the appeal of the circuit. Filter on its own can be very beautiful. I'll try to demo it soon.
i'm really enjoying it as a person who owns no other modulation pedals. i've wound up using the envelope mode constantly since i got it. super fun going from a super fuzz heavy riff to swirly madness without having to do anything other than pick lighter/harder. at first i thought it would be cool as a now and then kind of thing. if you crank the gain and speed it definitely gets into fuzzy ring mod turf which is a bonus too.skullservant wrote:Yeah I kinda want a voyager. Or at least figure out a way to get something similar with what I haveiamthesnow wrote:so i watched skully's demo and was sold on the spaceman orion... a week later i wound up with a voyager too.

Which ones? I'm a fan of the guyatone stuff. Nice score, btw. I was looking at the cmos recently.oscillateur wrote:Yeah, I did quite a bit of reading on 80's Japanese pedals and both of these are apparently excellent. The phaser had great reviews and the CMOS overdrive is a sort of enhanced version of the old EHX Hot Tubes (well, both are based on the Craig Anderton design). I've noticed a few old Guyatones in the same price range that are super tempting. I found almost no reviews of some these, even in Japanese, but they seem great and look awesome, too.

One of my favorite phasers. I don't think you'll be disappointed.oscillateur wrote:Yeah, I did quite a bit of reading on 80's Japanese pedals and both of these are apparently excellent. The phaser had great reviews ...

Second. I usually loathe the Ernie Ball Aesthetic (also, active circuitry) but that SUB is beautifulBrandsmannen wrote:That music man is hot!!gunslinger_burrito wrote:GASing super hard for a 5 string bass. Right now it's a toss up between these two....

But I also have something against ltd. maybe because a bunch of my friends in 8th grade bought them, and it sounded shit. That could've also been because of terrible setups, line 6 amps and behringer distortion pedals.

The ones I'm most interested in are the "Distortion for Bass" and the "Chorus/Flanger for Bass" from the latest PS series (PS-033 and PS-039). Sharper visual design than the earlier PS (which also look great but in a different style), all black and white. There are quite a few other PS that I'm tempted by but I've bought too many things recently and I was actually trying to slim down my gear pileJero wrote:Which ones? I'm a fan of the guyatone stuff.
