There's a fairly cheap Octavella for sale here in Norway. Anyone play it with bass? How well does it track and retain low end?

Track? You mean the octave up? I would say it is less prominent than the foxx tone machine (watafuzz) but more than the superfuzz with the octave up. It is very gritty with a little more lows than like the 86/88 but less than the 46. It is a weird one and it takes a while to get used to the way it oscillates. The low end will be very fuzzy and gritty. I will try it at some point today.

The oscillation is very weird and related to how much and hard you play...then it feedbacks and gates after it discharged. Like throwing a knife or something. It is a lot of fun.

It sounds very LAL if you know what I mean. Haha

Yea, been running 45->88(on a gated setting)->SPK lately...love it. I wanna get the octavella, misty cave, and sandstorm in there but that is too many pedals for me...never more than 5 though.

Wish the new stuff would come out already.

Thanks, man! If it hasn't sold and I have some money to spare at the end of the month I'll throw in an offer. Sounding very LAL makes a lot of sense

To nobodys surprise, it used to be mine.

Cool pedal, with some fairly unique octave sounds.

Would actually love to hear the octavella on bass or synths or whatever. I didn't really jive with the misty cave, but i love my Gomorrah and wanna try more LAL Fuzzes.

The Gomorrah is the fuzz I want to try the most right now. Really anything LAL. One of the few brands I've wanted to try that I haven't.

Amazing with an expression pedal on guitar. I've only tried it briefly on bass. Like, 5 minutes. Not so good at retaining lows. The oscillations (that I found) fit guitar frequencies better too, imo.

I've been playing guitar lately and I want a nasty oscillating fuzz. Trying to decide between the Year 4545 or LAL 88

Listen to iRerror (link in sig). If you like the guitar sound, you'll like the 88. Eivind uses it most of the time. He has demos up of both of those pedals you mention on youtube as well. :thumb:

The 88 is generally the best oscillating fuzz out there. Master of all trades. Other pedals can be better/more tweakable for very specific sounds, though. Which sounds are you digging the most?

Binge watch my demos. :poke:

Eivind's demo is great! For both!

To echo what Eivind has said, the 88 is a master of a lot of things. Can do gated and vintage-y too. It doesn't have the most volume on tap, but it does well and it blends well with other fuzzes and effects. It is just a great all around useful fuzz. Lluna, Octavella, 46, 86 are less versitle and more specialized.

Basically, listen to Eivind haha.

Dang, still waiting on the t-shirts and new pedals to go up in his shop.
