Just emailed them?
perfectcircuit is taking preorders on the conduit...was able to get 10% off too with some special they have(had?)
still never heard back from perfectcircuit on when these were going to be ready though.

It's like those dark, humid rooms where fat old men in khakis and safari helmets trade ivory. But also sort of different. :surprise:Inconuucl wrote:UG has his sources.chrisdermo wrote:Nooooo!!!! Whats the deal with Squarewave stuff?
I don't know anything about them and the seem like its the most magical, mystic, unicorn pedals of all time. Are they still around or did they disappear into the murky fog of history?

Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!
Okay, I'm going to have to say no, to Maude on Fuzz. I really really wanted it to be amazing, but here's the deal:
Maude herself is top tier. I just simply cannot say enough good things about that. But the thing that Maude is doing is both hauntingly beautiful, and complex. I think it is that complexity that causes it to fall down when when distortion is added. I feel like anywhere I put the four eyes, things would either be too busy and a muddled up mess, or the oscillation would run away and be uncontrollable, and then everything would just hush down to silence when you'd hit a note...slowly fade back to chaos...then silence when you hit a note.
I was able to back things off to the point where everything was controllable, but then it was just boring, and didn't add anything, or sound as good as either of the two pedals by themself. I'm to the point of wondering if I'm going to like ANYTHING in the effects loop of Maude. I'll try phasers, flangers, and the bi-filter tomorrow and see where that takes me, but I fell so deeply in love with what she showed me on her own, that now I feel like anything I do to change it worsens things.
I gave up halfway through the astrotone, because I was seeing the same pattern...the only way to make it clear, and controllable, and not a cacophony of madness is to back the knobs off to where it sounds like a normal, kinda bland analog delay.
My vote is no on fuzz/distortion into , out of, or inside of Maude. I mean, she will do what a normal delay pedal will do, but she doesn't do that stuff as well as most other delay pedals do...my Echolution blows her away at just clean repeats because of all the other features, and its ability to take a line level input. Maude needs instrument level, so will not live inside my amps effects loop.
Also of note, is the strange fact that once I set the dip switches inside Maude to "effects loop" she would not produce a wet signal without either a pedal in her effects loop, or a jumper cable in the effects loop. Given that, unless the flanger, phaser, or filters are drop dead gorgeous in there, I will likely set the dip switches back to CV control. And here I thought an effects loop on a delay was the greatest idea I had ever heard. Now I'm not sure I even like it that much in practice. We shall see.
All the pedals...the jolly, candy-like pedals...

Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!
Yea, I have honestly never like effects loops on delay (I've used the mtl.asm jaywalking, MF104z, MF104m, meet maude, and I think at least one more). They never seem to really work right. I think it has a little bit to do with the filtering, the degrading signal, and the gain threshold for oscillation.
I think meet maude is a great sounding delay too and I love it. But when using delay with fuzz, I generally stick with something like my old yamaha AD-10, Amdek DMK-100, or the In Limbo II with their gain controls. I tend to also favor the MF104z over the MF104m soundwise (I dont know why, but they really do sound different...the z is a little darker and more well blended I think).

Yea, the echolution has a drive knob too that is probably helpful when mixing with fuzz.
