But I've been playing classical guitar for 30 years, have a masters in music, teach classical guitar six days a week, and once upon a time won a national competition (here in Canada) as a classical guitarist, so hopefully that excuses me.

Nice. I remember those nail care days. My principal instrument in college was classical guitar when I got my bachelor's. I have to say I don't miss shaping my nails every few days.
