I feel you. I been wanting one for ages, but it's just one of those things I really want but I'l' never be able to buy. I consider the OP-1 to be in the same category

In other news, the Orange OR15 sounds pretty pretty great after getting those lackluster sounding JJ tubes rolled with some NOS. After a couple hours trying out different brands...and having some terrible results with the V1....settled for now with an R8H Mullard in V1, and a Bugle Boy in V2. Also switched the 12ax7 in the PI for an RCA 5751 cause thats how i roll. Sticking with Bugle Boy el84's for now, and didn't bother with the fx loop. Sounds SOOOOO much better clean/dirty and handling fuzz compared to those JJ. Had an issue with some 60hz hum and staticy noise that both got louder as the gain was turned up with those JJ tubes too? Rolling tubes got rid of the staticy noise, and i think the PI had the biggest effect on killing the 60hz although i don't know why? Still a minor bit of 60hz hum is present but it doesn't get louder as the gain goes up like it originally was. So thats good, for now :idk:

While I was at it I also got to rollin tubes in the Ampeg gvt15h and ended up with some american power RCA 6v6 and RCA black plate 12ax7....those "premium" tubes the Ampeg literature was keen to highlight turned out to be nothing more than Ruby matched sino power tubes and JJs in the preamp  Went from sounding pretty good but rather unremarkable to pretty pretty great.

today was a good day :joy:

Latching crackle switch too. Its so hot. This is my clean tone now. I see alot of people use it at the end of the chain but I really prefer it at the beginning.

Someone gave me a deal on these as a pair that was just way too hard to pass up. I find myself with an abundance of dirt and...no other effects. Good thing I'm borrowing a Ghost Echo and Rm-1N for a bit.

Next effect I'm buying is a Uverbia spring reverb when tax money comes in. Followed by some kind of delay.

Yeah i was curious about that...

According to their site there are specific ones it works with better it appears. This is the list from their site:

Software Instruments

Kontakt
Omnisphere 2
Trilian
Halion
Halion Sonic
Strobe 2
Synth Squad Eusor
Aalto
Logic's EFM1, ES2, EXS24 and Retro synth
Sculpture
SWAM

Did you try it when any of those?

Here they show a video of them using it with featured 3rd party sounds and looks like it works well

i used it with the retro synth on logic and it behaved more like a normal midi controller. that could be because the sounds on retro synth are relatively basic compared to the ones on the equator synth and dont have as many variable.

that being said, it sounds incredible on the equator..really cool ambiance. youre gonna have fun!

edit: just watched that video - yeah it does the pitch bends well on the retro synth but whats cool about the equator synth is that you can modulate tons of parameters using the seaboard keys, which really makes the seaboard cool. i dont see that being done with the 3rd party synth video

Good to hear! As much as i love knob twisting, I love the concept behind it. Seems like it will work well with a guitar player's mentality. :thumb:

Hi Skully, If you were in the EU... your buzzo would be mine.

EGC tyranny? why it's not assembled? they are not available for preorder!

Here, a local guy is selling a Veleno clone (Anthony Marc clone #5) for 4500€, like this one:

Too much money for a copy.
