A guy I've had some craigslist deals with in the past offered me one in trade. I declined but we worked out a different deal and I met him at his place and we talked about it. He wasn't crazy about it but I'm not sure what sort of tones he's chasing. I traded him my Beta Lead and while doing that I asked him if he was stage Melvins show that had just happened a few weeks back. He said he didn't like doom and said that he hated all of the riffs people played using the Beta distortion in YouTube.

Color me confused. He did end up getting a sweet emperor case for the Beta so that's dope.

Seems odd to pick up a Beta and not like doom or the Melvins. There are plenty of other ss amps out there that aren't so popular/expensive right now

Yeah. I cringed a bit the first few times I saw the name. I mean, that Thanos pedal he did with the correct color leds for the infinity gauntlet is pretty snazzy though.

Going to have to skip all the shows this weekend with the exception of the one we are playing tonight. Some asshole decided to start breaking windows in the neighborhood and apparently those big bus windows were particularly attractive. Paul gave me a rough estimate of what replacements would cost, at 350-400 a pop for the real deal, I am replacing with Lexan from Home depot, at least for now. Between the bus and the 280z junker I've been fixing up, it's a felony level of damage. What do?



$350 for the cameras and dvr, hd and monitor, Cleaning the handguns is free, replaced the window that was smashed through while open carrying and telling everyone who walked by about blood eagle as punishment.
But yeah, this is all money that was for food, entertainment, gas, etc. Do not want to sell anything but anything non essential is on hold for a bit. Will have to use some of band fund too, but that's killing me because we need that to finally get the album made. FML

For some reason I'm contemplating loading up my 4x12 bass cab with 55hz Reapers for bass (and occasionally baritone guitar / Bass VI) use... someone tell me this is a fool's errand and that I should put prpper bass speakers in there...

On the pedal front, I finally snagged one of the Black LE Hail Satan pedals from Abominable. He made a Rams head tweak to the circuit that sounds pretty nice.

Yeah weird. I really liked splitting my guitar signal to a bass cab (in addition to guitar 12"s) when I was able. I play really bright though, so maybe that's the deal. I just found it gave the bottom end more punch.
Guitar speakers are definitely not for bass though. One way street that one.

I'm having trouble finding 12" bass speakers that don't double as PA drivers, and I know a lot of down-tuned guitar players dig the 55hz Reapers...

Hmm... back to the drawing board / anybody else using 12s for bass?

I'll admit to having psychologically regressed to the mentality I had in Baghdad in 07. Played a show last night with Sky Penis and Greenriver Thrillers, friends old and new were there in droves and the positive vibes may have fixed me a bit. Víkingar style ax torture is still an option, but may not be the only path.

I think that is very speaker and cab dependant. The old Peavey cab I have loaded with delta 12's slays for bass, the Newer Marshall cabs our other guitarist has barely can handle the low end from his explorer. I'm actually about to rebuild those for him. He want's shit to say Marshall, fine, but it's going to get a redo internally. Cabs should never audibly vibrate. Junk..
