Second song into our set this lady comes up and asks us to turn down. We do and she walks to my amp and turns it down even more and says that it shouldn't be louder than that. I hit a chord and was talking to her over it. We turned up way past what we were at before and played one more song and then packed up our shit and hit out towards the next show. The guy who booked us dipped out before we ever played so we didn't get paid either.
Those type shows suck so I hope you get asked to play there again and you give them the full 600 watts of hatred.
If I opt to play there again, I'm going with 900w's dragging out my Randall Cyclone, Crate Shockwave, and probably that Randall RG300 with an HM2 infront of it.
the drummer was there longer than I was cause I immediately picked up and left. He said the manager of the bar came up and apologized because of the soundman. And there wasn't much he can do to him since the owner of the bar is his brother. Out of all the bands, only the soundman's band was allowed to play at full volume because obviously it's his band. and there was just no possible way I can manage playing at that low of a volume.
If you are interested, AxAxSxS, this is exactly how I did it... had set up my camera to film the show and you can just hear see the pure aggrivation.
