I have a full virtual system inside of the Roland Scooper, my first module. It allows me to save preset patches that I can modify and tweak on the fly. Full synth voices, filterbanks, noise, lfos, whatever combo I might need for a particular patch. There are 6 CV inputs to control parameters of whatever submodules I need them for. Modular is pretty much about moving away from presets and menus though, and just going all knobs, sliders and cable connections, so I'm doing a system that gradually goes that direction, step by step. My way has pretty much always been to just hook up odd combinations of stuff and record, save the best bits and use them in compositions. So modular of course is just another excellent way to do that.
