I paid like 250 for mine as well, don't have the board space or patience for a timeline, and don't really need all the extra features. I heavily considered it or a boss dd500 instead, but when it comes down to it I'd rather have a single good delay sound than a bunch of presets.behndy wrote:sooooo.... actual curiosity. The tone fits the bass vi/baritone range perfectly and sits in the mix so well. That and the RM-1N are all I really need to play a show. I need to get a favorites switch.
Does anyone know if I can set it as a looper on the pedal and set the favorite as a delay but keep the loop recorded?
but isn't the El Cap like $380? why not get a TimeLine at that price?

dTape delay*
One of my band mates have one, so I've messed with it a few times now. While I initially liked it, I grew tired of it very quickly. Sounds good, but its very predictable and ultimately, boring.

The most interesting thing about the strymon delay units is the small footprint, looping (on the cap), tap tempo, and feedback on a foot switch.UglyCasanova wrote:dTape delay*

I bought the space to have my tweaking and the el cap to have my preferred sound. The emulation on the el cap is better than the timeline, I think.

ahhhhhhh. gotcha. i just did a quick search and they were showing up like $380ish on Reverb.
smaller footprint is nice. what i love about the TimeLine is having a very different, specific use of weird shits patch for different songs. so the TL is good butts for me.

Had a Pog2 a couple years ago, a Pitchfork a few months ago, and I'm back to a big Pog.
The mojo on the big box Pog makes it impossible for me to resist.

You can push down the whole wheel to engage or bypass it. It's like a big, rubbery stomp switch.
