Don't you dare get rid of that glorious paint. It would be like de-Louis Vuittoning the Laney ol Whiskey and I both owned at one point or another. Things like that need to stay absurd.

I don't even like Van Halen but I've always thought this picture was rad as fuck:
i think my favorite thing about that picture is the cabinet behind him that says "stage left" really big on it. it's on stage right. good fire extinguisher placement too. just can't turn off that roadie brain.

Also, Saz-a-Ma-Daz-a-Darren, when is the new Electric Heat ready to go? Will you be doing a preorder? And will its phase cancelling weirdness work well on solid state jazz, or is it more of a tube phenomenon?
WWPD?

not sure if that pic will show up.
I just find that very unlikely esp with how tight everything is and I'm not the only one saying the same.
It depends on how much you believe the KT120 datasheets. They list some serious numbers but not many people use them. I have heard some reliability issues plagued them. As far as 400Ws, well depends on lot on the plate/screen/primary impedance relationship. Generally if you had something like a DR405 type amp (which is 300W btw), it would need another pair of KT88s to get up to 400W clean power. So 8 Kt88s or so.
Beyond that, it would just need to show the right amplitude sineaves on the output given the load impedance.

Missed so many pages. Spent the weekend losing about 10 pounds in shit and puke. Also, going to be doing some reviews for Outlaws of the Sun(Steve from The Sludgelord's new blog). That should be fun. Oh and I picked up a 6505+ and an Acoustic 6x10.
For anyone that's actually gonna shell out the money for Black Sabbath, get there early cause I think Rival Sons are going to be opening MOST of the dates and those dudes absolutely rule. Kauer Firebirds into 2 Orange full stacks with lots of fuzz and octave goodness playing old school rock and roll.

exactly I was hoping would comment on it. It just seemed very odd but I figured there was much more going on than I know off hand.

I know there was discussion some time ago about the transformers in those amps. Not sure how that plays into it, if at all, because I don't know shit about shit but there's also that.
I know that Conky's bandmate recently acquired one of the Mills Custom amps. They look neat.
