Thanks guys. Now I have to wait. When I was ordering it I was all nonchalant about it…sure a week a month, what ever…now I am counting the minutes.

I am stoked. It's a total redesign of a familiar shape. Played a few newer production Firebirds and they all seem kinda lifeless…like many new Gibsons. Maybe they all need a set up in the stores, but so many clunkers. Doug redesigned the whole thing post lawsuit. Headstock/neck is also a lot stronger. Can. Not. Wait. for it to get here…

...and Yes, dumpsters always provide the very best inspirations. When I was in college there was another more rich college in town who's dumpsters used to provide really nice consumer electronics that when the visiting oil princes, and NYC elite went back home, they'd just leave here.

I use mode 2 the most when I'm by myself. Playing with friends I probably use mode 1 more. Mode 2 is so, so great though.

Got my p bass back from repairs today. The guy who did the fixin's is the guy who built a really cool strat I had a number of years ago when I first started playing. Was super crazy cause when I picked up my bass from him and started playing it, he had also done a set up on it, so it even It FELT like the strat had, felt like coming home. So I'm going to have him give my other instruments the same treatment in the coming weeks too. The man has become my guy for sure.

Hes also got a candy apple red Fender Cyclone hes gonna sell me on the cheap so NGD IMMINENT YO!
